I guess I'm being too literal in the definition of what "Most Valuable" means.

I forgot that "pretty" and "nice" and "Yankee" are prerequisites.

- GonzoStyle - 10-06-2006

so bitter

- Goatweed - 10-06-2006

that's to be expected from a Sox fan, I suppose.

- GonzoStyle - 10-06-2006

I agree that Thomas is as deserving but he wasnt as consistent all year. He went on a tear the last 6 weeks of the season and was a god. But he is without a doubt the main reason the A's are where they are.

- The Jays - 11-04-2006

is now a three-time Gold Glover winner!

- diceisgod - 11-04-2006

Gold bold fo fold banana rama hold old....gold

- GonzoStyle - 11-04-2006

I want jeters cock in my mouth

- The Jays - 11-04-2006

I believe they just keep giving Jeter gold gloves to piss Galt off.

- HedCold - 11-04-2006

this is worse than bernie williams multiple gold gloves

- Galt - 11-04-2006

If you actually think he's close to the best fielder in the AL, it's because a) you think offense should count to defensive awards b) you don't believe in any fielding statistic c) you are an imbecile.

He has the range of a very pretty, charismatic, lamppost.

- The Jays - 11-04-2006

Um, I don't think anyone this year believes Jeter deserved the Gold Glove, especially when Michael Young had fewer errors with more chances. But, hey, I'll revel anyway. Fix the system.

- HedCold - 11-04-2006

at least he wasn't the worst ss

- GonzoStyle - 11-04-2006

so jealous

- Keyser Soze - 11-04-2006

ha, what a joke! i'm glad he won, it makes him look ridiculous.

- GonzoStyle - 11-04-2006

Keyser Soze Wrote:ha, what a joke! i'm glad he won, it makes him look ridiculous.

that makes zero sense.

I bet he will look like a complete fool and a retard when he wins MVP, right?

- Keyser Soze - 11-04-2006

let me break it down for you, if you can put down your yankee fanboy glasses for a moment.

he's a below average fielder. the fact he won a golden glove just goes to show how ridiculously overrated he is, which was already confirmed in a Sports Illustrated survey of 470 major league players who voted him the most overrated player in baseball.

don't get me wrong, he's a nice player but the whole cult of derek jeter is pretty amusing to most people outside of the evil empire.

- The Jays - 11-04-2006

If he's so overrated, then why don't you tell the fucking coaches and managers to stop voting for him? Are they in the cult too? Does the "evil empire" extend to every fucking bench in baseball?

- Keyser Soze - 11-04-2006

It boggles my mind why the coaches and managers voted for him, so yes, I would have to think that they've bought into the myth as well.

Do you honestly believe he was the best defensive shortstop in the AL this year?

- Arpikarhu - 11-04-2006

at least he aint no jellyleg

- Keyser Soze - 11-04-2006

yeah, he was fantastic in the ALCS.....oh wait, nevermind.
