What's the best brand for speakers that I can hook up to my laptop and get CD quality sound at an affordable price ($50 or less)? Thanks.

Hey, big spender, with that price range, you can get a nifty pair of head phones and a Kit Kat.:firebounce:

For $50, I'll sell you my old shitty $20 pair that I upgraded.

- The Sleeper - 05-24-2002

Yes, I am a cheap bastard. Hence why I have shitty $15 speakers. But ok, what is a good price range for the speaker system I am describing. I suppose I can dip into the piggy bank a little more if neccesary.

For a HALFway decent set....and thats not even good quality it will run you about $300.

are you serious? Blah, I'll stick to headphones.

How much did you spend on your upgraded system?

- Maynard - 05-24-2002

I spent about $5,000 to get an ok system.

I suggest you just stick with your crappy computer.
