- Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler were apparently upset at finding out that they had to split commentating duties at the PPV with Michael Cole and Tazz. Ross was particularly upset as he was not told of the move until the day of the PPV even though it had been decided for days in advance. However, Ross went with it since it was said to be better for the business.

- As for Michael Cole and Tazz, a lot of people backstage felt that their commentating combination was better than that of Lawler and Ross. Paul Heyman, in fact, spent a lot of time with Tazz and Cole in attempt to help them improve.

- Reportedly the main reason why X-Pac was given a "leave of absence" from WWE is because on the night Nash got hurt, X-Pac was hospitalized for unknown reasons. He was released later in the day and made it to Raw but because he could not explain his hospitalization, he was unbooked from all shows until management could get documented medical records as to what his problems are or were.

- There are some people who are questioning whether it's just a coincidence that X-Pac was hospitalized the same day that Nash went down since it is a well documented fact that in recent weeks, X-Pac seemed immune to punishment as long as Nash was around. Suffice to say his future with WWE is now very much in question.

- There are still no concrete plans for Shawn Michaels to wrestle, but he is being hyped for many Raw brand house shows starting this weekend.

- The latest on DDP is that along with his wife Kimberly, he is planning on moving from Atlanta to Hollywood in hopes to make it as professional actors.

- With the appointment of the Raw and Smackdown! GMs, the goal is to convey Eric Bischoff as a "slimy heel" and to portray Stephanie as the "ruthless babyface". In it all, Vince McMahon is expected to drastically reduce his on-camera time. The main idea of the changes is just so the rosters can be shaken up via trades and talent raids which in essence means that talent will mix a lot more frequently.

- Vince McMahon and Eric Bischoff struck a "secret deal" for Bischoff to appear on Raw about ten days before the show, but Bischoff was only told of his role the weekend before. This was mainly done because Vince was adamant about keeping his appearance a secret and in fact as it turned out, barely anyone found about it.

- According to people that were backstage, Eric Bischoff's interview where he talked about trying to run WWE out of business was met with huge heat from those wrestlers who not only knew Eric from his WCW days, but wrestlers who hadn't even worked with him but had heat because WWE going out of business would have cost them their livelihoods.

- Eric Bischoff's contract with WWE is being viewed as unique in that it is not a multi-year deal but something shorter and that renewal is based on the angle getting over mainly because officials don't feel that this storyline is a guaranteed homerun due to the fact that it's technically a year late.

- Also for those wondering, the angle with Bischoff and Stephanie was going to happen regardless of the fact that Kevin Nash had gotten hurt, although it could have been delayed for a few more weeks.

There is a possibility of Triple H and Shawn Michaels "locking horns" at the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view. Rumors have been circulating that Shawn Michaels feels he has another big-time match left in him, and SummerSlam would definitely be a "big-time" platform for Shawn Michaels to make his wrestling return, as it's the second biggest pay-per-view of the year.

-- Kevin Nash would have received a huge push if he didn't suffered his quadriceps injury on RAW.

-- Former ECW Champion Mike Awesome made his return to television on Velocity, which aired last night.

-- Goldberg mentioned in a recent interview that'd he'd love to wrestle both The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

- According to sources, Vince Russo's ideas for WWE programming were somewhat similar to what actually went down. Russo did in fact propose a Raw vs. Smackdown! feud, but he suggested that it be the precursor to bringing WCW back with Bischoff as the leader. Russo also had the idea of making Mick Foley the Raw brand leader as well as suggesting bringing or trying to bring in people like Bret Hart and Goldberg for the angle. He also proposed that Bischoff strip every Raw champion of his title and then to lead them into an invasion of Smackdown!.

Kevin Nash received a get well card from Steve Austin after having surgery on his injured quad. In a recent website update, Nash said, "One thing we've got going for us, and us is the boys, is most of us have a pretty high pain tolerance...Well, if you're a pain freak, I highly recommend this tear..."

One of the reasons for Eric Bischoff's hiring was so that Vince McMahon could reduce his on-air role. The most likely scenario is that Vince McMahon will eventually return to TV, to set up a match between himself and Bischoff. Originally, when the WWE was in talks with Bischoff last summer, the plan was for Bischoff vs. McMahon to happen at last year's Invasion PPV.

David and Reid Flair, the sons of Ric Flair, were backstage at Raw. However, with the case of David, there are reportedly no plans to bring him up to the active roster yet even though he wrestled at a house show over the weekend.

There are rumors that since Raw has recently seen several wrestlers jump ship from Smackdown!, WWE will similarly have wrestlers move from Raw to Smackdown! with the speculated favorites as of now being Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero. This would also make sense in that right now the Smackdown! brand only has one title exclusive to its show (Cruiserweight).

What kind of "acting" is Kimberly going to be doing?

- GonzoStyle - 07-31-2002

The kind of movies that describe an act that you wouldn't understand, tenbats.

- Kim - 07-31-2002

I hate the whole "UnAmerican" thing...It is an old gimmick that they replay every so many years...can't they find something a little more entertaining?

What will really suck is when September 11th rolls around and they start with the UnAmerican shit and disrespecting of the american flag...Just goes to show how low some people WILL go for ratings :-(

- GonzoStyle - 08-01-2002

Calm down, lol. Septemeber is still a month away, WWE doesn't keep angles that long. The way things are goin they better do something and quick.

Some of you may recall the report posted last week about Sting and Goldberg possibly heading out to a charity wrestling show in Bermuda. Now, according to The Phantom of Get in the Ring radio, Ernest Miller has accepted an offer to wrestle at the same show. Miller informed The Phantom about Goldberg and Sting being offered a similar deal, and Miller does believe they will accept. Sting is reportedly very close to singing on to appear at the show, and Goldberg's signing is very well possible at this point. In edition, the charity show is said to be offering a nice payoff to the wrestlers that will sign.

Looks like this may be what Goldturd meant by returning to the ring.
