Yankees got rid of El Duque for reliever Antonio Osuna and a prospect from Montreal. And Colon ended up going to the White Sox instead of the Red Sox. The main thing and only important thing is the Yankees fucked the Red Sox right in the old poop shoot again by doing this trade so the Red Sox would not get Colon.

yeah, you really showed them.

Colon goes to Boston, they have 3 major pitchers in Martinez, Lowe and Colon. They now have 2 and shit for the rest of their staff. :toast:

this deal makes me feel all warm and gooey inside. screwing the red sox just for the sake of screwing them is a glorious thing. :thumbs-up:

Mets get Glavine, Floyd, Vaughn, and Alomar and this is all the Yanks have to crow about.

Yankees got Giambi, Contreras, and Matsui and we prevented the Red Sox from getting Colon. The Mets could have had Colon, just like Arod and just like Pinella but they were too Damn cheap.

Not really.
who were they going to give up? Minaya knows their system too well, he was going to ask for a fortune.

I was hoping Colon was going to Marlins, because one rumor had Marlins then sending Lowell to Mets.

This is reminiscent of Black people trying to convince themselves that they "won" when OJ was found not guilty.
