Battlefield 1942. What an amazing game. I guess it's been out for awhile, but I couldn't play any games on my old PC. This just astounds me. Alas, no multiplayer with dial up.

that is a really good game, I haven't really dedicated any time to it though. Multiplayer is great too - I think you should threaten to kill someone at the cable company until they get that broadband goin' in your neck of the woods.

Oh man. It's 1 in the morning. :26:

NBA Street vol. 2

So awesome

- Danked - 05-07-2003

Weird and I were trying to hook up a modest multiplayer between the two of us for Battlefield, but it's not networked properly. I think he's out buying himself a new network hub now. I don't know if I should bother trying to play through dial-up. Do I have to sign up for GameSpy Arcade that came with Battlefield to play multiplayer? Cause I don't want to pay for sign up if it's not going to work.

You don't have to pay for Gamespy.

- Danked - 05-07-2003

Oh.... nevermind.

- Goatweed - 05-07-2003

Gamespy is teh suck. I recommend All Seeing Eye. It's a "trial" application, but all it does it keep reminding you to register it - but you don't have to to use it. It uses less resources that GameSpy, has NO ads or pop-ups, and it configures itself for all of the games on your computer - and automatically updates itself when you install new games. There's also a Buddy List feature but in the trial mode you can only have up to 4 people on it.

here's a screen shot ----> click me (it's too big to post)

I haven't played in a while but doesn't BF 1942 have an ingame server search feature? I always use those instead of installing shit.
