I'm not sure, but I'm guessing you might need to reinstall java on your machine. Try getting it here.

Go to windows update. and update virtual machine.....worked for me anyways.

I installed Netscape a while ago and I haven't been able to view Java applets since. Maybe try uninstalling your Java runtime enviroment through Add/Remove programs, and reinstalling it from the Sun website
