when you click links on webpages...

How do I turn that on and off? It's annoying when I'm watching movies while browsing.

mute your sound

Pay attention to the movie and don't browse, focus mister ADD.

Go into the control panel and then open Sounds or Sounds and Multimedia or Sounds and Audio Devices, there's a shitload of events, just remove the sound for the "Start Navigation" even under Windows Explorer. At least that's where it is in XP. If you have an older OS, look around and you'll see it. You can use the preview to find the click noise if you're not sure.

*Oh yeah, to remove the sound, select "(None)" at the top of the list of sounds.
