WASHINGTON

Postal Rate Commission approves 3-cent rate increase for letters.

I need to know... is that with or without anthrax?

- Hey Ladi - 03-22-2002

Thank you, my day wasn't complete until now. :crackhead:

How much does that make them now?

The cost of bullets goes up.... then the cost of Postal Stamps too?

Coincidence? I THINK NOT !

- Maynard - 03-22-2002

Why don't they just raise stamps to like 50c a piece and stop dicking around already. They keep raising them, and I have to buy those dumb fuck 1c stamps to make up the difference for all the old stamps I had.

damn THEM! damn THE MAN!

- Skitchr4u - 03-22-2002

does this mean that they are gonna start pushing for charging us who use email almost exclusively?

- OAS - 03-22-2002

Christ, if I have to keep paying more and more to lick something, I damn well better be getting a smile on my face.

On March 22, 1765, Britain enacted the Stamp Act to raise money from the American colonies.

Another coincidence??

I also think not!!

- BeckyDC - 03-22-2002

I don't even mail much of anything. I use the computer for more bill paying.

What? You didn't get the e-mail?

Sad thing is they are actually trying to make a surcharge for every e-mail.

- PollyannaFlower46 - 03-22-2002

Bah! I just bought a book of stamps! I'm sending out holiday cards now while it's still cheap....

Geek (if it's true)

I was at the post office at lunch, and the post office guy told me that they are coming out with a stamp for the WTC. It's going to be the picture of the firefighters raising the flag, and they're going to charge an extra 11cents per stamp, which is going to charities for victims of 9/11

- Ahlexus - 03-22-2002

Ladi, that makes the new price 37 cents. And like OAS says, it's not even to lick anything fun

And Adolescent... is that for real? Charge for email?

How bogus.

It's going to be worth 34cents, but they're going to charge you 45.

- Ahlexus - 03-22-2002

I was just wondering... are we going to be collecting for the WTC victims forever?

No disrepect intended at all.... but aren't they all getting something like $1.85 million each already?

The federal government is poised to cut roughly $6 billion worth of checks to the spouses and children of 9-11 victims.
