in my shared folder for kazzaa there is a file that i didn't download. chicago of all things. so i tried to delete it & it keeps saying that it is being used by another program.

which it is not cause i wouldn't be caught dead watching that movie.

what can i do?

& showing my boobs isn't doing anything.

exit out of the program and then manually delete the file
If that's not working, do the spybot/adaware thing
if that's not working reformat your harddrive.

try dropping your internet connection and then deleting it

- Goatweed - 07-13-2004

stop using kazaa, that software is more trouble than it's worth.

- QuickStop - 07-13-2004

if you startt in safe mode it shouldnt be a problem deleting it

Just keep draggin it to the recycle bin over and over (or however, you go about deleting things). it will work eventually maybe about 20 times or more but it will work. I've had the same problem.

Showing your boobs can't hurt.

That being said...

If you quit Kazaa, you should be able to delete the file. Not just closing the window, but make sure there's no Kazaa icon in your system tray (by the clock). If you have a Kazaa icon there, right-click it and select "Close" or "Exit" if you have the option.

If that doesn't work, boot into Safe Mode (press F8 key repeatedly [don't hold it, hit it a bunch of times] while the computer is booting). Then delete the file.

If that doesn't work, e-mail keyser soze a picture of your boobs and pray to the Kazaa gods for forgiveness.

Either that, or call that geek friend you have that you refuse to talk to because he/she is creepy. You know, the one that is always wearing that RTFM t-shirt and carrying the "No I won't fix your computer." coffee mug.

to avoid this problem in the future you should make sure to clean your scuzzi at least once a month. :thumbs-up:
