Frisbee and Hackey-sack is an acceptable topic of conversation here. So how about those Montreal Arognauts? They gonna have a good season this year or what?

Faceman, pick one of the following:
Montreal Allouettes

OR

Toronto Argonauts

Get to know your Canadian Football teams my friend ;)

The Dragons start in April. I'm wondering how they will do without Kevin Swayne now that he is with the Jets. Shon King is one of the AFL's premier receivers if he can play the whole season.

How about lacrosse. Maybe some NY Saints fans can start talking trash to the other lacrosse cities. O&A are on in Buffalo, Rochester, Philly, Washington, and Columbus; all cities with NLL teams.

Tequila, those sig pics have yet to disappoint, keep up the good work.

Canada has a football league, aye? I heard some rumors about their field being 10 yards longer, but then again their field is probably covered with ice so they just glide across it and ride into the endzone, that explains why some teams average 50 points per game ;)

Faceman, great job. Three letters and an endless string of numbers come to mind when I think about why this thread was made.

Now if only you could help decide which damn thread is the Baseball thread for the World Series it would greatly help.

Wiseman Wins Ninth Title at PBA Johnny Petraglia Open

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Danny Wiseman won his ninth career PBA Tour title Tuesday night in the PBA Johnny Petraglia Open at Brunswick Zone Carolier in North Brunswick, New Jersey. Wiseman, of Baltimore, defeated Steve Jaros, of Bolingbrook, Ill., in the championship match, 255-226, to earn the 11th Petraglia title and the $40,000 top prize.

Prior to this week's tournament, Wiseman took a week off from bowling in order to clear his mind.

"I was mentally fried," he said. "My swing plane and overall timing were way off. So my coach told me to cut down my approach to four steps. That brought everything together."

For Wiseman, who improved his record in title matches to 9-2, the key was not using the ball that he shot two 300 games with Monday night and propelled him into the finals.

"The only thing that ball gave me tonight was air," he joked about the Revolution IZE. "It wouldn't make the turn down lane."

So he used two different balls (one for each lane) and had the best pin carry of the five finalists.

Wiseman sruck nine times in the final match and picked up spares in the third and seventh frames for a clean game.

Jaros nearly marked in every frame, too. But left an unfortunate 6-7-10 split on his second shot in the 10th frame after a strike.

"If I would have struck there, that really would have put some pressure on Wiseman," said Jaros, who picked up $20,000. "But, I stuck at the line on that shot."

Wiseman, who only needed to mark in the 10th frame, stepped in and finished the game with two strikes and eight on his fill ball.

He defeated defending champion Walter Ray Williams Jr., of Ocala, Fla., in the semifinals, 210-184. Williams, a 33-time PBA champion, earned $10,000 in third place.

Also in third and earning $10,000 was David Traber, of Woodstock, Ill. Jaros defeated Traber in the semifinals, 195-172.

Brian Kretzer, of Dayton, Ohio, lost the wild card match to Traber, 237-175, and earned $9,000 in fifth.

The PBA Tour travels to Erlanger, Ken., for the PBA Greater Cincinnati Classic, Nov. 6-11. ESPN will televise the finals live, Sunday, Nov. 11, from 5-6:30 p.m. (ET).

Faceman, I didn't hawk anything. I put their link in my signature. If it helped, then the members of this board are responsible for 80,000 fans showing up for 8 games at the Coliseum.

Probably the only sport lamer than the xfl.

You know, you're right Faceman. Take away the 75 or so current NFL players with Arena league experience, the 2 million fans that annually attend Arena Football games, the NFL's option to buy 49.9% of the league, the fact that it is statistically the highest-scoring football league humanity has ever seen, and the fact that it has become the second longest running football league in the country (Second only to the NFL,) and you're aboslutely right, probably the only sport lamer than the NFL. You hit the bullseye on that one.

By the way, how much money do you make a year? Because the Dragons' quarterback Aaron Garcia has a 3-year, half million dollar contract which makes his yearly salary roughly $150,000 a year. And how much does the average AFL player make? Approximately $58,000 a year.

Remove those factors from the equation and yes, Arena Football is the only thing worse than the XFL.

By the way, rageparty, the reason the CFL is so high-scoring is because theird endzones are 20 yards deep, double that of a regulation-size American football field. Ask any defensive back, that makes it very hard to cover a receiver in the redzone.

Vince actually tried to buy the CFL and merge it with the XFL when it was first getting off the ground, but the CFL board of governors didn't want to abandon their unique way of playing football, so it died.

And soccer is the most widely played game in the world. Thousands attend league games in various European countries on a weekly basis, not to mention the cup competitions for each league, the champions league, uefa cup and the like, which all bring in countless amounts of money for both governments, cities and the team clubs that play these games. Players are transfered from one team to another for upwards of $100 million and some even over that. Ronaldo himself makes tens of millions dollars a year in endorsements alone. Yet soccer is considered lame by many people in this country. Shit for that matter the cart races that nyr2749837497297409271349874017 hawks all day long makes plenty of money as well, but he's still bashed for his sport being lame. Everybody has their opinion tool, and I was expressing mine. Dont like it? I dont give a flying fuck. Thanks anyway though.

and hunglo, i only have one thing to say, Let's go Rangers!!!!;)

You don't do a great job of supporting your opinion when you compare a league that is going on its 16th year of operations to a league that lasted less than 4 months.

I still respect your opinion. Isn't it funny that this whole thing started because I goofed on you for confusing CFL teams and you took it seriously?
