Dear Opieandanthonysuck.org, I have been a longtime fan of the Opie and Anthony show (since the fall of 1999), and I have to admit: at times, they can be REALLY offensive. They are crude, often mysoginistic, and generally sophmoric. But you know what? They are also funny. They fill a gap that many men (and probably, albiet to a lesser extent, women) need: a juvenile, crass, and SAFE outlet for their inner beast. While you may (or may not) find such things as WOW personally offensive, the reality is that most (if not all) men--I am truly sorry to say--need an outlet for being, well, men. Guys. Locker-Room talk. We have not evolved to the point in our civilization that we have 'matured' to the extent that political correctness dictates we should have. I am sorry, but it is a fact of life. More importantly than my personal opinion on their entertainment value, however, is their value to society. Now, you might wonder (or disagree) as to what kind of social value these guys have. They are not afraid to speak their minds about what they want to. This may include a criticism of Gary Condit, a funny OJ Simpson impersonation, or playing "Guess What's in my pants." The point is that they, in their off-the-wall way, are champions of the First Amendment. You may think that I am mad or upset about people like you who are trying to stop them. Quite the contrary: I applaud you. Because the First Amendment protects YOUR right to criticize them JUST AS MUCH as THEIR right to be the way they want. You are exercising your First Amendment right of free speech against these guys. I guess the point of this email is to offer something more than a knee-jerk-"feminists-are-ruining-all-the-fun-in-America" response that I am sure you have recieved. It is to illustrate that (a) what is one person's "indecent" is another's hillarity; (b) this kind of entertainment, while perhaps not as highbrow as others would like, is a necessary (and safe) outlet for male angst in a PC enviornment; and (c) They provide an invaluable First Amendment argument--one that helps, implicitly, in permitting you to keep up your criticism of them. I feel that every single person has the right to make up his or her mind on wether to listen to them or not.However, I do draw the line at people actively trying to censor and take away another person's rights. You might think this show is sexist but you fail to realize that we as American Citizens HAVE THE RIGHT to listen or read or watch whatever we choose. Instead of worrying about a show that helps men and women blow off the stress of their everyday lives and help the truly unfortunate in this society. Like homeless people, poor people, abused kids and so forth. After all this form of censorship was done once before and it had disastrous effects.This form of censorship was called Nazi Germany. Do you really have that much of a disdain for this show to want to emulate Adolf Hitler and Joseph Goebbels and the whole 3rd Reich? think about it. Sweet Merciful Crap! | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Aug. 00 | Attila - One thing to remember is that the rights that O&A have to speak their mind apply to that website's owner, too. They really aren't doing anything "wrong". It is within their rights to ask people to send letters to sponsors and the sponsors will decide whether or not the concerns of the public override the value of advertising on the show (not likely). I love the show so I ignore the haters. I think reference to "Nazi Germany" is a little much but hey - you can write whatever you want!  Original SWILLER - Affiliate S.T.O.N.E.R. | ||||

Somebody touched her breast or fingered her twat at an early age, and she grows up into the muddled, frigid, waste of vaginal juice she is. Then, one day, fingering that radio dial, much like Uncle Harry's fingers so long ago, she tunes into 102.7 to hear Scott Muni's cancerous crackling mudpit voicebox, only to hear O&A. Imagine the HORROR...the HORROR!!!! But it ain't the horror of tits, mayhem, or laughs...but the memories of Uncle Harry's lap-thrusts while watching Captain Kangeroo. And, this misbegotten socially-stunted hag sublimates this HORROR into OUTRAGE at harmless and hilarious Opie and Anthony. Then she goes finds some pencil-pushin Bible-reading prim to fuck her, telling her how right her OUTRAGE is, and helps her make a website for it. They listen to O&A, feeling outraged all day long, and then fuck every night, planning their revenge. "FUCK ME, LIKE HARRY!!!" She screams to him, taking it in the ass as she posts each and every Document of Atrocities. They probably take your emails and put up as wallpaper to their little trailer home. One day they will have kids, also to be sexually abused by Uncle Harry, and the whole family will listen all day long to be OUTRAGED. Then, hopefully, one day...amid some incest sex orgy, someone will kick over a can of gasoline. A spark will set off a giant fireball of OUTRAGED limbs and organs, lifting and carrying it to unsuspecting trailerpark neighbors in giants shreds of skin, trailerhome metal, and your email wallpaper, in a big fiery rain.
