| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01  | Ever since the show became syndicated, Steve and I have been inundated with e-mails like "What does yambag mean?" and "What is a leather cheerio?" In an effort to assist new listeners, our own Joe Soprano has put together a comprehensive list of O&A terms and phrases. For the new listeners, this is a great opportunity for your to catch up on your O&A vocabulary. Old listeners, feel free to peruse the dictionary. | Psychopath Registered: Sep. 01 | I think, in technical terms, the saying "A box with wine in it" is just the quotation from which the term is derived from. However, if the wine is not in a bottle, but rather floating freely in a box, that would be the case. Also, there's a real-feel of a dictionary since most of the definitions don't include the term inside it, and "a box with wine in it," wouldn't seem right. Funny S, though. | ||||

It's been a goal of mine to put together a compilation of O&A terms to help the listeners, especially the new ones. But I shan't (is that still a word? Hmm, let me check my calendar.... iiiit's 2001... then, no.) But I shouldn't take full responsibility for this. I thank the Foundry Studio Board writers for internal help with definitions and new words, and of course, FM Jeff for making it happen. Since I may not be on this board every single day, I may risk seeing your suggestions posted in this thread, so your best bet is to email them to [email protected]. Don't worry if you don't see it added, like, right away; an interface is being worked on so that the dictionary can easily be amended. By the way, I thought of one term myself that needs to be added: Camel Toe. Again, thanks for all the good words - especially that great word 'moosen' ;) -J$ | ||||
