Of course the Rusty Trombone does not belong to O&A, but it certainly had its coming-out party on the consciousness of the listeners through O&A.

... yeah, hard to believe, but Krock is still broadcasting in NYC (good one).

It could be innocent, like the whacky deejay just happened upon goofball.com's gentlemen's glossary, but I imagine that Krock newbie will be getting a memo from mgt.

My point is that O&A gave the rusty trombone its due and sort of adopted it as one of their own. Even though they don't own it in any way, shape or form, it is something they got a lot of mileage out of, hence it is a proven bit.

Certainly, the KROCK newbie jock did not know this, which makes sense, but the fact that it came a couple of years after O&A popularized it and made it part of their vernacular makes me feel this is a small concession of O&A being more gooder, that's all.
