O&A Board Regular Registered: Sep. 00	The best part of syndication: Knowing full and well that there are other listeners that are as fucked up as you are and also enjoy O&A. The worst part of syndication: Knowing that there are people who just don't get it, and are really fucking stupid, like washington DC. MikieJ34 I really wish I could think of enough bad or annoying things to say so that I could make MikieJ34's Status longer than his posts, but I'm at a loss. Do any of you have any suggestions?? Hanger-On Registered: Dec. 01	All I know is I have to turn Howard off sometimes, wait a few minutes and then turn him back on...I haven't had to do that with O & A and I'm not a psychic or anything, but I don't think I'll EVER have to do that with them !!! THEY ARE A RIOT !

Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 02	I think they have slowed down being syndicated...they were much looser when they were in Boston, but then you have to cater to the bits and pieces of each market...you can get away with some things in NY that won't fly in Texas. I didn't care for O&A dumping into an unannounced best of before New Orleans but I also agree a lot of people would have turned off. Does anyone notice that Howard also stopped announcing his vacation plans a couple years ago? Howard tried to tout that people loved best of and it got great ratings....ALL BULLSHIT...Howard stopped annoucing his vacation plans because his "Best of" weeks were bottom of the barrel ratings. People stayed tuned in and usually don't realize until it's too late. The thing I really dislike about O&A going into "Best of" is a lot of their "Best of" is about 4 days old. Hearing a best of bit on Monday that I heard live last Thursday is too much of a (future) good thing. How many more times can I listen to the Homeless Shopping Spree??? I do understand that they haven't been in syndication that long in most of these markets, but a lot of their "Best of" is a week old! My hugest peeve about them lately is, what is up with the major habit of playing bits from the fisrt two hours again in the last two hours?? Some of this stuff is funny, but dude, save it for later. It is getting to be waaaay too often I hear a bit from 4pm being replayed again at 5:30. Hearing the Dice-capades and the bit today AGAIN crossed the line...I switched over to another station and checked back to see if the bit was finished. Kindest Regards, Your Name

O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jul. 00	I agree that it is annoying rehearing bits from earlier in the show. I don't want to sound like I am defending the practice but, I think the explanation lies in "drive time". The most listened to portion of the show is from 5 to 7 while listeners are in their cars. This in no way excuses the practice but, I think that is why it happens. I've also heard them say that they've gotten repeated calls requesting that those bits be replayed. That, I'm sure, is part of it as well. Also, I'd like to address that "worst of" thursday prior to NO. How many people listen to the show on weekends? How many people recognised immediately that they were replaying old bits? How many people were "tricked" into listening to 2 and half hours of replay to keep ratings up? My point remains... 2 seconds worth of "Hey we're taking off... see ya tomorrow live from mardi gras." Would have prevented this arguement. And, the people that listen to replays would have listened and, the people that don't wouldn't have. The only difference is that we all would have thought that they gave a shit (whether they do or not). Long Live the "Syndication Underground"

O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00	It's not local references or things like that. Since syndication the show's quality seems to have declined. There seems to be less of a liveliness, I mean they aren't dead but there seems to be less of a fight now that they got syndicated. The show seems to rely on contests and nudity and chicks doing wacky things more than actual bits that are enjoyable to listen to over and over again. The need to sort of unite all the markets and everyone has given the show less of a personable quality you felt pre-syndication. I'm not saying the show is a lost cause just that it's slipped a bit but not that it's a lost cause. "It appears my wee wee has been strucken with rigor mortis." Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00	The show has changed since syndication. It had to. They were speaking to a NY audience pre-syndication. Now they are not. It's National. It had to evolve. Deal with it and quit acting like a bunch of pussies. They mentioned something about the tooling that happens here. It used to be much worse. I know I've made comments about the "old day's" but trust me, it was worse. Plus they probably have fond memories of Boston and the ugly chicks who live there. Anyone in New England ever hear of make-up. It does wonders. Shut up, enjoy the show or don't. I'm sure they don't give a shit as long as you listen.

Sometimes its the show, sometimes the board, mostly the girls from New York that arn't lineing up to be in the 55 gallon drum challenge. Which by the way I can't wait for. The show is awsome and is getting funnier by the day. Maybe its not what it was or this board isn't what it was, but fuck it. Evolution. O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jul. 00	I've been avoiding commenting on the "SU was unreliable" thing. The first reason is the post wasn't too specific. The poster really didn't say what was unreliable. Also, SU has been pretty damned stable for the past few months but, it did have it's problems along the way. If that poster gave up during one of the rough spots... Well, I'm not out to talk to ppl into using SU. If you want to, I'll help ya but, I'm not gonna chase you down and make you listen.
