| Hanger-On Registered: Aug. 00  | Matt Drudge is reporting that CBS may be looking to Has-Been-Howard to fill Letterman's spot on late night TV if he moves to ABC. If this happens, could the guys be poised for a morning slot? They have always said how much they would love to do the morning dive. Thoughts? Opinions? "Riotous Monkeys!" | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Mar. 02 | Personnally I'd love for O&A to hit mornings. The only problem I see with it was when Stern's Saturday night show hit a bunch of CBS affiliates, slowly they took him off the air. Surprisingly the Philly market KYW for one. Although maybe they'll do it, Stern to TV, O&A to mornings and eventually Stern out in the cold. :confused: this, that, and the other.... none of it's good | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Hooknose could'nt pull off a saturday night show at 11:30 once a week, do they honestly think he'll be able to manage a 5 day show? Sure, it would probably be a different format (not like the E! show redux), but I can't see Howie in the same ranks as Leno and Letterman. As for O&A to mornings - I'm sure they'd love to do it to prove they could pull off monster ratings, but the boys have said on more than one occassion that neither of them are morning people, and do prefer the PM drive slot. | Psychopath Registered: Jan. 02 | It might make sense to move D&M to A.M. drive. i really don't like them and O&A would get better ratings, but O&A are 3-7. The show was at that time in Boston, New York, and now the major syndicated markets. Breast are out in the afternoon, and I really don't think most of the O&A fans will be up at 6 to listen. D&M fans, probably will be. | ||||

In the morning, I'm afraid I'm not in the mood for talk...I want music that will wake me up and get me geared up for my day. Besides, most people aren't as active and into participating in the morning. | Hanger-On Registered: Aug. 00 | Growbaby, For the record, this thread isn't speculation...it is about people's thoughts about a possible move to mornings (What if?), NOT that they might move. Also for the record, I have been listening since July of '99 in NY (and via SU and then WJFK in this shithole they call DC), and they have said many times they would love to do mornings to oust Howard (pre-gag order) and have said (post gag order) that they weren't afraid of the slot at all. And yeah, I can't see Ant getting up to do it. But that is why I posted: to get people's opinions on pros and cons. "Riotous Monkeys!" | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I have been listening for a short while longer than you Chris, and I think you're confusing statements slightly. They have said they wouldn't back down from taking hooknose on directly, and weren't afraid of him. They also said if they HAD to they would do mornings, But they ALSO clearly stated that they would not CHOOSE mornings, because NEITHER of them wants to get out of bed prior to 10-11am, and they prefer the afternoon drive because it's just as big as the morning slot and it let's them sleep.
