Psychopath Registered: Mar. 02 | Did anyone see the end of the show? Last week was very similar to O&A's tradegy concept. Now this week Matt and Trey are using Quato. Hoo Hoo They're ripping me off Hoo Hoo The show was pretty funny though. I liked the Better Off Dead theme.

Psychopath Registered: Mar. 02 | The whole show had to do with a ski trip. If you've seen the movie Better off dead, the plot was pretty much the same. Then at the end of the show, a girl lifts off her shirt and where her boobs would be was Quato. He said the line from total recall. "Quaid-the reactor". (I'm not sure thats the correct line), then it went to credits. It was funny, but totaly out of left field. My point is, how old is Total Recall. I just find it odd that they would use a reference like that out of nowhere. It seems to me that they're listening to the show, and taking Notes This message was edited by Syndrummer on 3-14-02 @ 2:36 PM

Psychopath Registered: Jan. 02 | Anthony said something the other day about a falling out with the guys that do South Park. What happened? It may just be coincidence that they used that, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were taking notes during the O&A show. Of course if they stole it from O&A, they just really stole it from Howard right. Hoo hoo!!!

Psychopath Registered: Mar. 02 | Don't get me wrong, the show was funny. It's just that the total recall reference was completely out of nowhere. It made no sense to the story, it was just a sight gag. And considering the statements made by O&A it seems logical. The show is still funny as hell.

Psychopath Registered: Jan. 02 | O yeah. I love the show and I hate it when I miss it (which is usually often), but I would really like to know what happened with them and O&A. Still, South Park is one of the best shows on TV. One of the few that pushes the limits.

Hanger-On Registered: Apr. 01 | I believe the falling out had to do with Matt and Trey appearing on Krock shortly before they were to appear on O&A, O&A said why would people want to hear the same interview twice(which is odd as I doubt O&A would do the same interview as Will Pendarvis)so they(O&A) walked out on the show and the interview. It was a long time ago, I may be missing something but that is it to the best of my recollection. Next weeks episode is about Butters going on the Maury Pauvich show, if a very special Pegeria kid shows up we will know for certain they are taking notes.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | I'm as big of a southpark fan as there is and they may very well be taking notes, and could just be doing so to piss the boys off. Which I think is pretty funny.

O&A Board Veteran Registered: Feb. 01 | I think you're reading way too much into things. South Park is known for it's random references and obscure humor. The fact that O & A have made references to Total Recall through Sandy Kane on several occasions doesn't imply that everyone who makes a Quatto reference is doing so because of the show. I believe in the Faith... that can save me. I believe in the hope and I pray... That someday it may raise me... above these badlands Over The Limit

Psychopath Registered: Mar. 02 | I agree. I just thought the timing was strange. I like Skeets theory. If they are taking notes, and are using O&A references intentionaly, it's just going to make the show funnier for O&A fans

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Looks like tommorows episode is a Maury Povich spoof. Boy, if one of the boys goes off about how the show is only exploiting disabilities etc. etc. I might actually start to wonder even though I think it is pure cooincidence at this point.

Psychopath Registered: Mar. 02 | I kinda hope it is. Too bad O&A are on vacation, no chance to rant. How funny would it be if there was a whole season based on O&A bits. Next week will probably be about Butters On Ice.
