Rollins was on Crybaby Radio Edit's show this morning. It was announced yesterday that Rollins would be appearing on O&A's show today. I'm not sure if the guys will address it or not, its not like Rollins is particularly topical right now which made it seem different to me that someone like say Survivor or Big Brother showing up on Crybaby's show the same day as O&A.

I actually think its awesome Rollins is coming in today. I think he's a really cool guy and makes for great conversation. I've seen him a bunch of times walking around in the city.

The guy is something special, he's a badass, he's intelligent, and he's funny too. Not to mention he is one of the most influential people in hardcore/punk music.

I heard that this morning too. I guess Rollins is doing a little PR thing. He does give talks and what not. I guess it is a little publicity for that.

Henry Rollins is NEVER sloppy seconds- he's awesome. There was nothing like being a pissed off 14 year old and blasting Black Flag. I've seen his Spoken Word before- he got me through a lot. I can't believe I'm going to miss it!!! Damn it all to hell!

Yeah, Shiloh..if you ever have an opportunity to see him perform one of his spoken word shows live, do it--he is an excellent and entertaining speaker, great storyteller, and is very intelligent

I have a feeling he and the boys will get along quite well :) I hope he becomes a new friend of the show

I saw the Rollins Band at Birch Hill a few years ago. They were excellent. Henry Rollins is a pretty intense motherfucker. Spitfire's right, he's also very intelligent. I can't wait to see how he'll interact with O&A. He's a mean sum'bitch when he's pushed. Could be pretty entertaining, if Opie fucks with him.

My Henry Rollins Story:

Woodstock '94, It's Saturday afternoon, beautiful day. There's no rain, in the 70's, ground is dry. After an OK set by Mellisa Etheridge, the clouds started to roll in, very ominous, almost like a foreshadow. As soon as Rollins came out, all hell broke loose. The sky became completely pitch-black, and the fucking clouds opened up with some serious thunder, lightning and a lot of heavy rain. Rollins didn't miss a beat, and if you've ever seen him live, or know him as a person, you know that the weather just made him more pissed, or more psyched or probably both.

The second the drummer hit the last beat, or the last song of the set, the sun came out, the rain stopped, the clouds left and he walked off the stage.

As mean and intense Rollins he is also a funny guy. I saw his spoken word and it was really funny. His sense of humor is weird though and i hope he gets along with o and a. I bet the all tool on the halftime show or something.

Henry Rollins does whatever he wants, whenever he wants. He doesn't care, nor does he worry. This is Rollins we're talking about! Spoken word: Better than Teen week, sometimes. But It's still top of the line.

By the way, American Fing Psycho, you are one suck F! That sigpic makes me cringe everytime I look at it. But hey, I look anyway, it's like a car accident. Nice one.

What makes you look over here?
What are you, queer?

Rollins is out to promote his new spoken word cd, so he's doing radio shows all over the place, but he's never sloppy seconds. He's amazing to listen to.

I'm with you EAF, I was there too wandering around not paying attention to Melissa & then Rollins busts out. I stood there & stared for the entire set. Talk about commanding and audience. He's the most intense mutherfucker I've ever seen!

I have to say that the O/A interview was a ZILLION times better. All Howied wanted to talk about was famous people, money, and how he (Howard) can't lift heavy weights. Howard's interview was basically FLUFF!!

O/A covered so many great topics w/ Rollins, and I shouldn't even compare the two interviews. O/A's interview as so much funnier, edgier and intelligent. I especially liked the part about Rollins' theory on getting rid of the Klan.

If you haven't checked out any of Rollins' stuff, you are missing out. I like his music ( as well as the spoken word stuff.

I was there too, it was an awesome set. I also saw them do a surprise gig at CBCG's once, I walked in to hang out and they were onstage playing their balls off; I was blown away.

actually, I was not impressed with him. He really added nothing to the show, but boring talk. I'd rather hear Limo Anthony and Patti than Rollins

My Favorite Rollins bit is a song he did with the Misfits called "We are 138". Its on a live CD, and when he gets up to the stage to guest star in the Misfits' song, he is totally trashed.
