And no matter what they say, it sucked when they didn't ask him about Pam's hepatitis a few weeks ago. The only reason Kid Rock sold so many albums is b/c of the white trash middle america contingent buying his music. I know O&A cannot be into Kid Rock as much as they say. CARE??? | ||||

There is NO WAY O or A EVER listen to those stupid Kid Rock songs in their spare time. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I gotta say I never considered myself a Kid Rock fan, but I thoroughly enjoyed when he was on. I especially liked the cover songs he did, and I'd consider getting more of his music. I could give you the "opinions (about music) is like assholes" speech, but I think you get the point. What is good about that kind of appearance is it gives a performer a chance to reach a new audience. That rap/rock/metal crap is just a fad, just like grunge was. That was rock music too. Where are all those grunge bands now? Pearl Jam and STP are the only ones left from that era, and they don't sell as many records as they did ten years ago. Yes, I do mean that Kid Rock will be gone as quickly as he came in. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Honestly, when Kid Rock first hit the scene a few years ago, I brushed him off as a flash in the pan. I've since come to admire him as completely rock and roll.... in this day and age of pretty boy pop, it's nice to have someone around who is balls out, loud, obnoxious, and quite frankly intriguing/interesting around. He's not the shot in the arm that Guns n Roses or Led Zeppelin were to the music industry when they hit their respective scenes... but I think he's got substance.... when he's not rap/rocking, he's actually got a decent voice and genuine musical talent. I totally dug on him playing those old traditional country and cover tunes when he was in the studio in the sense that he was out of his normal element... but still completely comfortable. A little more 'real' so to speak. That being my humble opinion.... I don't think that anyone can dispute the fact that he is cool. I mean, come on.... he is banging the hottest chick on the planet... he's an all out old school style rockstar. I doubt O and A's genuine interest in wrestling.... not in Kid Rock.

| Psychopath Registered: Apr. 02 | How can you say that STP and Pearl Jam are the only ones left from that era, and expect it to be a valid point? - First of all Pearl Jam isn't even a band anymore so much you know - and second, just because the other bands were suffering from drugs, and break ups - like Nirvana - don't penilize a whole era - it was still great music and you answered your own question - STP is a surviver, so how does this say that Kid Rock won't be? Kid Rock can be the only one left in the era he started. | ||||
