If you would have listened to the whole thing instead of going off half cocked, like you always do, you would have herd Rollins tell the black caller that there are the Islam Muslims that are just as bad as the KKK or any other raciest group -- but NO you had to just use this 1st part of the call to better your own purpouse and find a new way to keep your dead 15 min of fame going. You responded with your threat to Raven without first engaging in a dialogue with him. That is wrong! You want to beat people up, put on your white sheet and do it anonymously, because as long as you wish to be a member of this Board, you will have to at least give the courtesy of opening an exchange of ideas. Raven is a Moderator on this Board. He has every right to ban you. But, he is bigger than that, and he WILL discuss his views with you. However, I and other Moderators will not allow you to engage in a campaign of threats of physical violence against any member, and a threat against a Moderator WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. You are warned to tone it down. I have absolutely no problem with the content of your message. That's your thing. Bra-fucking-vo, but don't forget that this is a Message Board, not the school yard. I love this board, but its still only a message board, its not a debate class. I heard him on the radio, and i posted my opinion. Im not saying hes a bad guy, just that hes a little naive and a huge idealist.Hes like most white people who are brought up in such a racially sensitive society, that they feel just by thinking something bad about a different race, that makes them a racist. I respect Vinnie the Racist beacause he speaks his mind. Hes not a racist, He can get along with minorities on an individual basis. He doesnt hate all Blacks, he just thinks most blacks have problems, and statistically speaking, hes right. Mostly all the things he say are mostly truthful, but when u hear them out loud, u'r afraid to agree because u think youre a bad person. Vinny, i commend you for being honest. And if you like henry rollins, fine, i just thought he came off as a naive idealist prick with a real cocky attitude | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Once again, (to borrow a term from Kid) BRA-Fucking-VO to Raven on this post... Rollins is an incredible performer in both his music & his spoken word. I've spent the better part of the last couple of days d/l-ing his stuff from napster & listening to alot of his spoken word stuff... I have met Rollins on a few occasions. I met him first in like 1984 or 85 when he was the singer for Black Flag. Then, I actually did an interview with him at his first live show with "The Rollins Band" at City Gardens in Trenton a couple years later. A couple of years later I bumped into him in the Village in NYC & we bullshitted about current events for a while... Basically, I think he is a very well spoken man with a lot of life experience to talk about. I don't agree with everything he says, but I "listen" & enjoy it... I've met Raven a couple of times as well. We made a common connection about music {It's a Satanic drug thing you wouldn't understand} amongst other things. But I'm sure that there are some things that we may dis-agree on...for instance, I find Wrestling completely obsurd, while Raven has an obvious liking for it...are you following me so far And now...on to the Vinny the Racist issue. I'm not trying to stick up for or bash Vinny. I have had the occasion to meet Vinny on a couple of occasions. I met him for the first time at one of the XFL Tapings. He looked like your stereo-typical "Italian" guy. Dressed up in nice clothes, Leather Jacket, Gold Chains, Pinky Ring... the whole sha-bang... I was taking a picture of OD & one of the Voyuer Bus Girls (Mel, I think) & Vinny asked me to get one of Him & OD (which I did...& Vinny, if you read this, E-Mail Me & I'll send you that picture...it came out great). I then ran into Vinny again at the Jim Norton & Dice Show @ Rascals like a week later. He was a really nice guy. He hung out & bullshit with me for quite a few minutes...He did seem like a very "nice guy". {ok...are you still with me here...} ...basically...my observations... Vinny may have jumped the gun about the whole Rollins thing because he didn't hear all of the interview & made himself look like a tool. (Sorry Vin, but you sounded like a tool) Raven made a post praising the O&A interview w/ Rollins & making some fine reading suggestions while taking a shot at Vinny (&/or his father) which I think the post could have done without. (sorry Raven...JMO) {OK, I'm almost done...my point is coming, really...} There are way to many people giving their opinions on a Man that they know very little if not nothing about. Henry Rollins is probably as far as you can get from "bleedin heart liberal"... this is a guy who had a major influence on Punk Rock as we know it...a guy who had his best friend murdered...a guy who has written quite a few books...etc... Perhaps if those of you who are "bashing" Rollins took the time to read or listen to something of his before you formed an opinion you'd think a bit differently. I bet you're the same people who say you hate {insert other Radio Personality here} & have never even listend to a minute of a single broadcast.
