| Hanger-On Registered: Mar. 02  | I listen to both shows and observed both sides. Now these are the points that I have come up with. I will probably will get the response to f-off and go somewhere else, but I hope to hear your honest opinions about these points: When O & A are threatened by anyone, there defense is always the same insults that they use on people in the past that they don’t like and also the spitting out of random facts. Driving their points into the ground and making it look they have done nothing wrong. When O & A make fun of and are pissed off at other shows, they challenge them to fight back on the air. If the other show does not meet their challenge, they are called pussies. When Don attempts to call and argue his point on their playground, he is hanged up on and called desperate. If they have nothing to hide and could refute all of Don points, why won't they let him speak on the air? Don and Mike let O & A fans who dislike their show speak their mind and give their points on the show. O & A barely let D & M fans speak their mind without talking over them and hanging up on them. O & A say that Don is obsessed with their show, and that he listens to every minute of it. That along with New York, they do not listen to any of the Don and Mike Show, but how come they have the ability to talk about every aspect of their show. They say that they have never talked bad about the Don and Mike show, but if you listen to Opie's rant. He imitates and along with a listener mocks Don. Saying that the show before them sucks and is a bad lead in. O & A and Norton mock D & M on their radio show by their little secret code. This always shows the influence that O & A have on some, not all of their listeners. All the negativity against Don and Mike began exactly on the O & A board at this same time. Also, one myth that O & A and Norton seem to perpetuate is that every member of the D & M show agree with everything that Don says and that all the show is about is Don and Frieda, which is not true. Toward the end of their original tape delayed run, Don and Mike were pissed off at management for treating them like s. and deleting portions of their show. Don had enough and told WNEW that they quit and not to air their show later at night. They went to commercials, and Don came back pissed because he heard through the satellite feed that O & A were bad mouthing their show. He repeated some of what O & A were saying and then called them the flavor of the month and that they will never get the syndication deal because Ken and Jeremy dislike them. This is where some misconstrued facts by saying that it was Don who started this whole thing and that he is pissed off because him and Mike lost their time slot. They are wrong, it was O & A who began this stuff. Don and Mike always talking about how O & A are about the same age started because some fans of the O & A many for reasons that they do not like D & M are because they are old foggies, while O & A are young and hip. Don and Mike also never denied the fact that they started with low ratings and worked their way up to big ratings in the afternoon drive on WJFK. They also never denied the fact or tried to hide that they have awful ratings in New York, which O & A seem to make it look like they do. What sucks is that a lot of things that O & A have done; Don and Mike have already done in the past. But, O & A receive all the credit for it. When D & M try to do something funny, all they get now is criticism and accusations of stealing bits from others shows and it sucks by listeners who don’t like them. | ||||
