Maybe the anarchist will turn self appointed vigilante, like Batman.

The guy kicked your ass and took your money once-now you're going to find him AND exact "revenge?"
I think that is unlikely. This is where anarchism stops being cool-when the maraudering hordes are taking your stuff from you.

Maybe he would get all his anarchist buddies with a bunch of crowbars to this guy's house.

Guess what, you now no longer have anarchy. You are imposing the will of the majority (the crow bar toting gang is now the "governing authority")upon the minority (those who would steal from their "anarchist" buddies). We are social creatures, and as such, will always resort to some type of organized rule.

Well, I can't say I agree with anarchism. But the idea is that without government people would be more civil because they were less repressed. But since it is under the impression that theft is wrong and then the vigilante group would get what is theirs. But this is too utopian and is likely not to work. But nowadays anarchists have changed to a position of limited government.

...And then by definition, they would no longer be anarchists.

They call themselves evolutionary anarchists. The one common thread that all anarchists hold is that they all believe all governments are evil. Which is the basic principle of anarchism.

I know it isn't a true story, but I believe it represents anarchy pretty damn well. "Lord of the Flies".

Bluetarp; Lord of the Flies was like Animal Farm. Order was imposed, Totalitarianism

Dude, are you out of your mind? The lack of government/cohesive standard thing is no joke. You can talk about stuff like that because you here in the US. I was with civil affairs in the Army and Ive seen that shit first hand in Africa.
The blowjobs for MRE's (meal ready to eat) was nice and all but the rest is just hell.

Someone sounds a little bitter. When street crime is vigorously pursued, the mayor is considered a facist and the police his personal goon squad. When street crime becomes less of a priority, the cops are suddenly lazy. You can't have it both ways, pal. If NYC hired another 30,000 cops and put one on every corner like they do in Times Square, they might catch more muggers. And maybe if a witness or two would come forward to ID the perp and testify when he/she is brought to justice, the paperwork and all would be worth it. But then, you wouldn't be able to smoke weed on the corner, either.

Tradeoffs, my friend. It's all about tradeoffs.
