| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | As far as the no-competition clause goes, I've been wondering exactly how plausible it is, considering the contract is actually UP. Example from the wrestling world: Sable (Rena Mero) was let go, and her contract was terminated early by the WWF. The no-compete clause in her contract prevented her from appearing on WCW TV for a full year. But in the case of Bret Hart in 1997, his contract actually expired (no idea if he had a no-compete in it or not, though) but he appeared on WCW TV the very next night. So the question is.... if a contract has run its course and expired, how can the expired contract dictate events that happen AFTER the expiration of the contract?
