Please send all donations to Froy's PO Box. Or, maybe now's the time to start charging for registration. Now that the speculation about the contract is done, we can now speculate on how "our" show will change. (and that is what this thread is for and why I wanted to start a new one--I start a thread a month so give me a break). I'm confident O&A will continue to be revolutionaries and avoid the common problems that occur when a local show goes national. Howard's show got 100% crappier when he went national but I'm confident O&A will be able to show him up yet again by keeping their local listeners entertained. I can't wait for all the "What happened to my music...this is not what I'm used to!" calls... What other positives or negatives do you guys anticipate with this radical change in the show? Opie is delighted. 2 Psycho Mark kills a stripper but is still made a captian and let back on the show. 3 A lamp with a bug is put in Kens office and we find out the truth about Melissa 4 Stinky gets rapped in the stairwell.....but will wind up not telling Ant. 5 Earl starts to date a white girl much to Opies dismay. 6 Rick gets ass cancer. 7 Ben is sent to military school to control the fact that he is a drunk. | Psychopath Registered: Dec. 00 | It seemed that the bargaining chip that was mentioned so much in the press was that they wanted a morning show. By passing on that it left alot of room for more perks (money, syndication). What does concern me is that the syndication details seem blurry. While I'm psyched that they'll be syndicated, I don't like the fact that some markets will use the show on tape delay including some airings at various different dayparts. Tape delay shows tend to suffer the most because of the lack of interactivity regarding callers, etc (just looka t Don & Mike, LoveLines, and some of the other garbage out there...not to put the boys in the same category as those chumps). I just hope that the celler-dweller stations in some markets don't air tape delays during their worst timeslots, hoping to use the WNEW model of station revival. Oh well, no need to complain I guess. Regardless, it's a sweet deal! But when the show takes off on a national level, and Dans sarcastic remarks make their way into conversations in LA, Boston, etc, will Dan be from Hoboken, Oakland, or the media market of New York? | ||||
