| Hanger-On Registered: Jun. 01  | now that o n a have gone "hollywood", will they still be the same ol' guys or will they be like so many other people and forget where they came from.....will opie still take the train to work and will anthony still drive or will they have limos taking them around?.....will o n a still be accesilbe to the n.y. fans or u won't get close to them because of their bodyguards....will theirs heads ballon to a great amount or will they stay "just the same ol' guys" | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | I suppose that we should expect them to change a bit. but, they seem to have a certain fondness for the NY listeners. They do little things for us, like come to our parties, well not Opie, but he's a superstar. We'd all like to see them stay grounded, but as they grow it may be difficult for them to do so. I can't picture Ant with the hollywood attitude. Opie, I doubt it, but maybe. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | While I don't think it will happen, it is definately my biggest fear, that they guys might "lose touch" with their fans. To me, that is what separates them from other shows, a true fondness for their listeners. Of course they will change somewhat, but as long as they stay grounded and remember what makes them so great, all will be fine. It is kind of like you good friend just signed an NBA cantract for millions. You are happy for them, but you don't want to lose their friendship. I think everything will work out in the end and we will have the guys for a long time to come.  Still one spot open! I am pleased to announce that DevonGetTheTable is the newest addition to the Slackjaw family! Report any transgressions to me. | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | I think it is too premature to speculate if they will sell out. Personally I say "No". I remember Opie from his WBAB days and Anthony was a tin knocker. These guys are men of the people and things will be fine. They seem a little cowed because they are trying to welcome these other people. I think the show will remain NYC based because thats where they are. Things will be fine.  | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01 | I hate to compare them to anyone, especially Howard, but for those of you who listened to Howard, remember the days he would scrap up a few bucks and grab burger king on the way to the studio and eat on air? These days he has nobu cater to him half way across Manhattan (AND THEY DONT EVEN DELIVER!!) When that day comes for O&A (sad to say, I feel it is envitable) but if that day comes it will be the day I find something or someone else to listen to. The one thing that got me hooked to their show in the beginning was that they came across as two very down to earth guys. | ||||

| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | I often look for conspiracies and hidden truths but I don't think they've gone Hollywood. For God's sake, they've only been on for 3 days and trying to get a new city into their listenership. Just becauyse they are syndicated doesn't mean they are losing touch with the listeners. Howard obviously has lost touch with his listeners but if you think about it it took him awhile to get there. I don't think that just because Syndication Now O&A will stop stickerstops or anything like that. It might be a little turbulent for awhile trying to get rid of the old listeners but I believe they will stick to their old ways. Also, you don't see Opie and Anthony writing a movie based on their lives and then changing their entire life around to sell tickets. However you wouldn't want to see a movie or HBO movie about the politics behind Infinity Radio? Even if not that I bet Opie has more interesting family stories than his father just saying "Shut up Sit Down" and the show itself has more interesting bits than other radio movies. and yes, I got the reference. it's always a good day when you get obscure references. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01 | IKEA, I didn't mean they have gone "HOLLYWOOD" already I just meant it is inevitable and there isn't anything necessarily wrong with that. When I got my new job over a year ago my contract negotiations went over well (at that time anyway) and I totally ditched the jeep and bought a beemer. It happens to all of us when we advance financially. It's just a matter of how carried away you get with it before it changes you for the worse. I just hope the guys keep their heads on straight. | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | I'm pretty sure that their success will get to their head, hell I don't blame them for feeling that way because it's an achievement. In all reality folks, I can honestly believe that they (mostly Ant) will never forget their roots and especially their NY fans. I don't think they're going to stop coming out every once in a blue like they do now. Strawberry, I also did the same thing with advancing financially. As soon as I started my career and I was making some casheesh, I went ahead and bought a brand new car. It's only a natural reaction. Shit, we're all human.....leave them the hell alone already and let them gloat. They rightfully deserve it, and don't worry their heart will always be here in NY. Thanks to NJPANTHER for the sig pic!
