These are O & A fans, yet they are new to the world we call OA.com. Each and every one of you was a new member at some point. And as veteran posters, it is your responsibility not to pile on and insult the new members for minor transgressions, but to help them understand how to get along and be productive.

One way to help is to adopt. If you have been authorized to adopt, then contact them when you see a problem or situation arising, don't wait for them to look for guidance, offer it.

Do not play mod and tell them in the post what is wrong, what goes, where, why they're idiots, etc. Let mods take care of out of place threads, let us delete, or rectify problems. We dont need you point out problems. Nobody wants to read a thread where 10 people all point out why it belongs in OT or Music instead of GD... If you see something out of place,then IM a mod.

Next, do not question mods publicly. If you have a question or an issue with a certain decision, then take it off the board and discuss it privately. All mods are easily reachable via IM or email, talk to them, don't get yourself into more trouble by publicly calling them out.

Show some patience and common sense. The board is only going to get bigger. Most potential problems could easily be fixed on the level of the individual member. Show a little patience and common sense and you'll find that a lot of these problems will be easier for the mods & admins to handle, and things will run a lot more smoothly.
