| Crash,
couldn't agree with you more. They hate NY. My roommate was from Chicago and all i would ever here is Chicago Great, NYC sucks. Till he came to the Big Apple and saw how big we really are.
Let me sum up Chicago:
It is a plane change between two real cities.

| Hal, welcome. As a former cheesehead living in SE Wis, I listened to alot of Chicago radio. Steve Dahl, god I remember disco destruction night at Comisky Park, Dahls claim to fame. I mean Damn, Chicago embrassed Johnathon Brandmier on WLUP for how many freaking years.
The boys will do just fine. Spread the word. People cannot help but getting hooked. The guys are not just plain old typical "New Yawkers" (no offense intended NYC so chill).
Hope you hang out here often. Bring some Viennas next time dude!

| I'll join the group who knows folks in Chicago who hate NY. My cousins are from Chicago and they constantly compare Chicago to NYC. "Chicago is more livable," "Chicago has the tallest building," "Chicago is less polluted," and on and on. I think Mike Lupica put it best when he was on WFAN a few years ago. He asked the obnoxious Chicago Bulls announcers what their obsession with NY was, "People in Chicago are constantly making comparisons to NY. People in NY might have a thought about Chicago once every 8 months or so."

| Instead of an "us vs. them" thread, how 'bout something different...
I would like to offer up the poem, Chicago, by Carl Sandburg, written in 1914. For those of you with any kind of access to this work, I hope you enjoy the multiple layers it offers towards understanding this current process..."Laughing!"
