| Hanger-On Registered: Feb. 01  | With O&A the only show live, while the others are on vacation and in replays. Which shows will return? WNEW shows have a habit of not returning from vacations.  | ||||

I think 7-11 might be cool for them because they are really more of a night show. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I don't think they would work out well in the morning - their show just doesn't "move" the right way (for lack of a better term). They're good in afternoons or nights - and personally, I would LOVE for them to go back to nights. And were gonna be hearing ALOT of disgruntled Don and Mike fans calling in from DC about the same time. Just my completely uneducated, baldfaced guessing. And Ron and Fez on 7-11. Followed by static 11pm-6am. And the Radio Chick replaced by G.Gordon Liddy. Fired for good this time. Well, there's my official guess of what's to come on NEW. | ||||

I used to deliberately stay up till 3 am to listen to them.They were hilarious as a night show.But now it is different. The best compromise would be 7-11 because Don and Mike suck red hairy monkey ass. Sweet Merciful Crap! | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | mayor is exactly right. for the same reason that D&M will never go live in NY, O&A won't go live in D.C. even if there is potential for greater ratings with O&A, you don't boot a #1 show, period. | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | While I don't think we'll see R&F in mornings I don't think it's because Infinity is afraid of what it will do to Stern. Ron and Fez will never be as popular, have as large a devoted fan base, or get ratings on the Stern level. This is not knocking Ron and Fez because I think after O&A they are the best thing on the radio, in fact sometimes I am in a more R&F mood than O&A. First off Howard a) appeals to the masses, b) is too popular and well known. Ron and Fez, on the other hand, have a very weird kind of humor that not everyone will get. They don't do shock radio, they have the type of radio you like listening to at night because your mind is shutting off and they played perfectly do that. Marvin, while funny, was one thousands times funnier at 2 am after being awake an entire day. I'm in my car from 11-7 every day, I wouldn't mind seeing the radio chick getting canned so I have something to listen to from 11-12. Ron&Fez may never be "Sternlike" huge, but they will be very successful and have definately carved their own niche in radio.

I used to like the Radio Chick show, but once they came back the show just got terrible. I think its time WNEW put together a decent lineup instead of just depending on O&A for all of their ratings. As long as WNEW continiues to rely on O&A, We're gonna continue hearing semi-decent shows like Ron and Fez and the Radio Chick, and crap shows like Mason and Kolinsky II, I mean the sports guys, and Don and Mike. WNEW is just a stop for shows that are eithr on their way out, or too good to put on the air because of other shows. Perhaps one day, things will change at WNEW but for now, all we can do is cringe at the other shows.  OA.com's headhunter and veteran of three board attacks.
