| Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | If you do not mind Barch I will handle this one!! You see there is this guy who owns a company called Dicks Gutter Cleaning Service. When Dick found out that his add for cleaning gutters cheaper then anyone else on the net would mena that he would even have to fly his tools to South Florida to do the job, he thought that service should not be available everywhere. So, thanks to Dick, you can't get SU in Soth Florida. You should blame the whole thing on Al Gore - Isn't he the one who invented the internet anyway.  | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Sep. 01 | hey guys i just joined this board!!! i think i got a couple of feed i can try but i gues i wont know till o & a are on , right?:) i have a question about the bandwidth it needs to run a feed? Does anyone know if it will slow down the network i'm on? i dont want to get banned from using the internet here at work. I just moved to an office in the middle of the building and i cant get any recption at all! BTW, if anyone has any feeds they'd like to share ;) i'd appreciate it. | ||||

| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jul. 00 | That kinda depends on your network. As long as you stick the 16 or 24 kbps feeds there shouldn't be any dramatic effect on your network's performance. It will, however, most likely effect your internet speed. Assuming you're using some kind of shared connection. This will have a dramatic effect on others using the internet. Again, this is all speculative. You could be sharing a dial-up connection and plugging into a stream could bring everyone in your office to a skreeching hault. You may be in an office with some super huge broadband connection, in which case even a 128kbps stream will have no effect on performance. Without knowing the specifics of your network and your internet connections, it is impossible to say for certain what the effect of connecting to a stream will be. But, if the "man" is gonna hassle you for listening to O&A, you don't want to work there anyway. If you want to provide more information I may be able to help you minimize the impact on your coworkers. But, this is not the place for that kind of discussion.
