Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01	Here is what you will need to have an FTP site up and running in no time flat. # 1 - You will need a good DSL, ISDN, T-1, etc... connection to the internet. The more speed the more gooder. It is best to have a static IP address from your ISP so you do not have to re-notify your customers of an IP change. (I think there are ways around this problem if you use something like Chuck uses - Any additional feedback here would be great!!) # 2 - You need an FTP server program. You can use NT 4.0 Server, Serv-U, or any FTP server program you can search for on the internet. I suggest Serv-U for 2 reasons. It is very stable, easy to use, you can get it for very cheap (CRACK cough CraCK)Did I say 2 reasons - Well go fuck your self you anal F-Tard. # 3 - You need a hard drive that can withstand the abuse of kidde porn (legal kidde porn that is) What is the point of starting an FTp site unless you are going to put all kinds of porn on? # 4 - You need a good firewall, antivirus package, etc... You would be amazed at the daily attacks # 5 - You shoud get a good backup progam incase you fuck up # 4 # 6 - Did I mention kid porn?

If you have a static ip there are numerous ways for you to setup your DNS. If you have a dynamic ip you need to have a dynamic DNS. This usually means you have to put a piece of software on your computer that will notify a 3rd party DNS server everytime your ip changes. I found this dynamic DNS provider (they also provide static DNS). dhs.org I have never used this company. I've seen some other companies but I cannot find their info any more. None of these are super secure but they'll block out almost all the standard attacks you are going to get hit by.
