| Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01  | Hello all - I am starting to see a few things I do not like so I am going to start banning some people from the FTP site until they explain what they are doing. I will post in this thread your IP and reason so you will 1) know if you are banned and 2) have an opportunity to explain what happened. The 1st person banned was because of asp scripts posted to the server. These scripts appear to write stuff to the hard drive that would gain full access to the server. see below and please don't be a tool and ruin the FTP server for everyone else. Again, not trying to be a dick but this is my busniess server and I dont need some F-Tard brining down my server. Go F with someone who counts like a bank or the IRS. IP address 142.169.40.142 banned from FTP for uploading script files. Please e-mail oanda@faloncompany.com to establish connection again. There are millions of other warez, mp3z, and porn FTPs out there, go mess with them. And mulligan, you shouldn't even bother with assholes like that, why give them a second chance? They don't deserve it. You should just ban anyone who tries to mess with your server.  | ||||

I mean come on - If my mom and dad did not give me a 2nd chance 3rd 4th 5th and so on I would not have had a roof over my head. SO back the the answer. I am not 100% sure these files or folders were intended to harm the FTP site or just some tool who does not know what they are doing (Please keep in mind this tool could be me). So I guess that is why. Oh - And also because even if it was some tool - At least it is a tool who likes O&A | ||||

IF I ever screw up and mistakenly upload something I shouldn't have...Please don't post my IP address...This is like going into the 7-11 and seeing your "bounced check" taped up on the register...Not only is it embarrassing but potentially harmful. I realize you need to keep you stuff protected. And, I don't blame you for the action taken...as a matter of fact...I commend you. I would have not been so calm & fair about the situation. Anyway, keep up the good work. And, thanks again for provideing us all with this FREE service. We sometimes forget how much work goes into maintaining such a service. Just so you know, there have been a few things that have happened and I have contacted those people by e-mail and cause they are regulars and contribute to the board and or the FTP. It is only when someone continues to upload stuff that does not make sense and the only way I can contact them is by posting there IP. I guess both you and I know that all they have to do is get a new IP or go to a differant PC at work to get around it but I feel my securlty software and team are doing a good job and am not that concerned. Maybe this is why Rotty bagged his server? Don't know, Don't want to know. All this little thread will do is let the people who F with me know that they are being watched and action can be taken. There is only one problem. Would you go to a cop and tell them that the crack dealer you were buying drugs from will not give you your $20.00 back and did not give you the crack? (Don't laugh - I am a former Deputy and that really happened to me) | ||||

I wouldn't mind paying for a formal site, but I wanted to know if everyone pays for one. Second, if the former question brings some sucess in an answer, I need to know the address for the FTP site. | Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | FondryMusicScott - I was not aware someone was charging for my FTP site. I will have to track the tool down and break his knee caps. (No I did not see that on the job but I did watch the Sopranos!) Anyway - to answer you question - Look a few threads further and the answer to the address is there. Or you can take the short road and send me an e-mail if you can't find it. I suggest getting and FTP program instead of just using a browser as the people who have one have had no problems (As long as they check the log on as anonymous box.) And remember - Just becauase the cop gave you a ticket does not mean that all cops are tools - You were just too ugly to let go for free. | ||||

What I meant was, is there a program, like a Bullet Proof or Cute FTP thing that you don't have to pay for so I can download from your FTP site. I've used both of them, but after a trial period you have to pay like thirty bucks or something. That's what I tried to say. | Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | i believe the answer for your question there is a cracked version of CuteFTP or BPFTP. Many warez sites offer these little cracks that will unlock the shareware lockup after 30 days. All you have to do is download these "cracks" and you'll be set. But if you're looking for a legal way to do this, i believe mulligan had a copy of some FTP browser program on his FTP. That should be free of charge, i don't know for sure. Always good to check that out too. | ||||
