Just because you're brainwashed by Stern doesn't make you right about.... well, anything. Of course Infinity doesn't want to hurt their cash cow. I do agree with that. Never did disagree with that statement. But the fact is that Howard DID get that clause put into his contract. You can deny it all you want, but there's a funny thing about that.... you're just wrong. Granted Infinity wouldn't want to hurt their top show but in that same respect, Howard wants to protect himself in any way he can. And Infinity complies because he brings in the money that he does. Howard has protected his own interests so well that it'll be a gradual drop-off. Bit by bit, the throne gets chopped away. First the ratings start to go (and they have, big time), then the CBS show gets cancelled (done) - oops, he's only the King of Some Media now - then as the ratings continue to go down, advertisers will pull out.... and go where? From the show that's going down to the show that's coming up... O&A. Too bad Howard's such a pussy though. He put the gag order on O&A so they couldn't fight with him, cause he knows that such a fight means out with the old and in with the new (hey, it happened with Stern and Imus).... Good thing the people who I listen to aren't as stupid as Ste. You dunderhead! I should have known better than giving you the benefit of the doubt. How does it feel to be so sure you're right, and know you're wrong, and can't admit it. Maybe I should ask Howard that same question. By the way, I've addressed all of YOUR points, so why don't you explain the gag order Howard placed on O&A. Why did he do it? For what reason? Mr. freedom of speech, right? On second thought, don't answer. I'm sure we'll just get some moronic response that makes no sense to anyone except Howard, you, and every other brainwashed fan out there. I listened to Stern for years before O&A came to town. the first couple times I listened to them, I had that pre-programmed, knee jerk reaction...Hey they are ripping Howard off! After listening to them for a couple of years now, I see the real problem. They get the adulation that he used to get. They are edgy, he is aging. Were the influenced by him? Sure. But they are different. Now it is hard for anyone but the real Kool Aid drinkers to miss the fact that he is stealing bits from them!! Is he doing it because the tank is on empty and he is scared to death, or just to piss them off? Who knows. The one thing that is certain is that most of his fans aren't stupid enough to buy it anymore. He is only cheapening his own legacy. | ||||
