| Psychopath Registered: Jan. 01  | I know this probably belongs in the enemies of the show section.But I had to comment. I heard Jeffrey Ross on Howard this morning. I know that Ross has obligations to promote whatever he is doing but why did he go to Howard? O&A's chief enemy.He would have gotten a lot more exposure if he had appeared on O&A.Jay Mohr,Adam Ferara,Rich Voss,Jim Norton, Otto&george,Jim Bruer,Lewis Black, Stephen Lynch and Frank Caliendo have NOT appeared on Howard to promote their gigs. I find that Ross's appeareance on Howard is a slap to O&A. | ||||

Howard is syndicated nationally, so you can't really be too hard on Jeff for not turning down the exposure... | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | I don't see that as a jab at O/A any more than when an actor goes on Letterman one night and Leno the next night to promote a movie. The comics have a rough time getting their just desserts and need all the exposure they can get. That said, I think Howard's show is totally lame and I think Ross was totally unfunny on Stern's show. I heard Ross on O/A and thought he was pretty funny. If it were me, I wouldn't go on the Stern show just b/c he is so lame nowadays. Josh  | ||||

It just BITES the shit out of me that Howard gets the guests that O&A want. And in return Howard is now having O&A guests on his show.I stated my opinions and I know they don't mean shit to anyone at any time anywhere. Just had to vent. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I also heard the first 15 minutes of Ross on howard this morning.And i was kinda stunned that he was on.He also gave props to otto and george,mentioned jay mohrs manager "The Big Jew" Barry Katz.But he was'nt very funny.Now granted i only heard the first segment(just before the 1/2 hour commercial break).I dont see as a slap in OA face but he really should call today | ||||

Stern is a douche, but he's not the #1 enemy of O&A. they like Stern, but he's a real jerk who thinks that everything that's done on radio is his idea.  I'd like you better if I could hit you over the head with a baseball bat and let a racoon with hepatitis take a crap on your face.

But Ross was basically "bobbing for diginity" (norton phrase) in Crybaby Douchebag's lap. A sad day for one of the funnier comedians to appear on the O&A show. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01 | I still don't see anything wrong with Ross promoting himself on Stern-- the guy has tickets he needs to sell, so he wants to use the forum that nets him the most potential customers, especially for gigs outside the area that O&A broadcast in, or to those people who don't listen to radio in the afternoon. | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Oct. 00 | I've got no problem with Ross being on Howard's show. Hell, I even went out of my way to listen this morning to the show and see what he was doing and if it was funny. What got to me was the fact that during the time I heard him, Stern was doing a live read for some DSL or Cable-modem offer. Well, Ross revealed that he's still on dial-up, and that porn is hard to download because it takes too long, yada yada, but what struck me as totally out of line was the fact that he stuck in a comment to the effect: "You can't masturbate to one of the Olsen twins." (meaning the dial-up download took so long that he was done before both Olsen twins finished downloading) Maybe I shouldn't even care, but somehow, using the Olsen twins reference on Howard's show rubbed me the wrong way. Anyway, in general, the guy's got to keep his career going somehow. A gig is a gig.  Chef Corpse Boyardee is bringing the food, don't worry! < | ||||

The gag order presumably bans O & A from talking about anyone on the Stern show. Does that now include Mr. Ross? | ||||

What I was alluding to was that the O&A audience ACTUALLY show up at various guests gigs. Just how many Stern fans do that. The O&A audience is fervent in their devotion to the guests on the show. That is what I MEANT in better exposure. | ||||
