I realize that I just started posting here, but O and A just came back to Boston, so I'm starting to get involved again. There has been a giant vacuum of talent in Boston during the afternoons since Opie and Anthony left. Nik Carter is the worst of the lot. He's dogshit. He was dogshit before, during, and after Opie and Anthony's stay in Boston. He's still discoboy, and he's still a little turd. The battle might be over, and there's no question that Opie and Anthony won, but he's no friend of them. O and A must be grinning ear to ear knowing that Nik's own station picked O and A over that prick, and caused him to lose his job after all the shit that Nik talked while those guys were on AAF. I won't wish AIDS, Cancer, or any other malady on Nik, I just hope that he gets booted from BCN and leaves Boston forever. An actual tear started to form on my cheak upon hearing that Opie and Anthony were coming back. | ||||

That doesn't mean he wouldn't have been fired if he didn't move. You don't have to listen to him, but more than anything else, If O&A are OK with him, we shouldn't consider him an enemy. | ||||

You are neither a mod, Opie, nor Anthony. It's one thing to speculate, but don't tell us who is and isn't a friend of the show on your second post. While they hated Nik Carter in Boston, it's their right to decide they now like him. It seems a little fishy to me too, but in the end it's their call. The New York Dragons-10,000 fans a game. | Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | PeterDragon, I'm pretty sure that he was aiming that "tool" comment to me, and not to you, so you shouldn't take offense at it. And I agree. It's not my place to try and start a war with someone when O and A say that there's no problem. I'm not trying to start some groundswell against Nik Carter from the army here. Opie and Anthony can be cordial to Carter all they want. It's a business. There are some people you fuck with and there are some people you shouldn't fuck with. There's no question that Carter is a little insignificant spec compared to the plane that O and A are on now. And it's to their credit. They were always head and shoulders above him, and now they're finally getting the credit and money. But I'm sure even at their own station, there are people they don't like, but it doesn't make sense to talk shit about people you work with. It doesn't help anything. My only point was that Nik Carter is still a douche. He hasn't changed. He's a horrendous DJ, and there's no way that he chose to move to that spot. I can just imagine Nik going to his bosses at Infinity and saying, "You know what would be great for my career? Remember those guys I hate? Take me off of the drive time, put them in my spot, and move me to the most insignificant airtime on radio next to the midnight to 6 shift. The only people listening during my 11:00 to 3:00 shift will be the bedridden and homeless. I could clean up in that spot" I know all the non-Boston people are sick of hearing of the Boston connection, but realize where we are coming from. Imagine if you lost Opie and Anthony for three years, and then they finally came back? I am totally pumped to have them back, and can't think of a negative thing to say about them. They're great, and Nik Carter is a disco-bitch. I just miss the wars, and I wish that Opie and Anthony would stomp on him while he is down instead of giving him a pat on the back and referring to him as "The Man". | ||||

Being from Boston, I know Nik isn't breaking any new ground w/ his radio show, but he doesn't infuriate me like he does some of you. I've listened to O & A on SU for over a year. Do you want to know why I went looking for the show? I heard them on Nik's show and went searching on the internet to see what they were up to. I'm not a fan of music jocks in general, O & A at AAF were the exception, but I would take Nik's show over Rocko's fake, man ass spanking, mess of a show any day. I don't think they ever said Nik was a great radio host, he supports O & A, so I really don't know why you guys want to continue this three year old war. O & A said it best when they said "We have a new bitch now," so, if you must attack a Boston radio host, there's a very large target out in Worcester. | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Aug. 01 | Most of you guys weren't around to hear the wars in Boston, and don't have the opportunity to ever listen to Nik anyway, so I'll tell you all a little story. When Opie and Anthony were first around in the early years (95, 96) Nik was on at nights while this guy called Mark Parento was on in the afternoons. Opie and Ant did their usual bashing, so much so that Mark, a guy who had huge ratings on BCN for like a decade, was totally destroyed. Meanwhile, Nik was on at nights calling Rocko a racist, a bigot, etc... while Rocko slaughtered him in the ratings. Eventually, BCN got so pissed off over the Mark Parento thing that they canned him and moved Nik to afternoons thinking they might have more success with him. Nope. Opie and Anthony continued to slaughter him in the ratings so he started complaining about it. When O & A started talking back, he called them racists, bigots, nazis, threatened to sue them, gave out their private numbers on the air, etc... Oedipus, the pussy program director at BCN did the same. Eventually, O & A were fired by Dickless Dave but Nik still couldn't beat AAF and got slaughtered by Rocko, who just, like O & A says, makes fake prank calls and rips of O & A. Even though Rocko sucks though, he still slaughtered Nik. Suddenly, O & A are signed by Infinity which also owns BCN. Since they are so good in the ratings, Nik uses their jokes and stuff on the air to boost his ratings. Still doesn't work. They get syndicated, and finally the pussies at BCN kick Carter to almost where he deserves (he deserves to be fired) and use O & A in the afternoons, who they threatened to sue and called nazis a mere few years ago. The whole thing is about business. They work for the same company and aren't in competing time slots so there's no need to bash each other. Cause you know if Nik bashed O & A he'd probably get canned cause they're the only ratings draw that talk station BCN has. As for BCN itself, its funny to see that station which once ruled Rock in Boston crumble. All they do is play outside stuff like Stern, O & A and patriot games because the music they play and the DJs they use suck so much. Its funny to see Oedipus, the program director allow it when earlier he said those things would never be on his station. Of course the ratings suck so much that he has no choice or his pussy ass would be canned too. | ||||
