| Psychopath Registered: May. 01  | Well, as things go for me this is par for the game. Been looking for 6 months for a job -- still none after many 2nd, 3rd, 4th interviews and nada. Now my unemployment has run out and the gov. won't extend it and there is no help for me or my family. With my wife going out on leave and only getting 70% of her small salary, I have no idea how the bills will get paid for next month. Thanks for listening to me and the fact that I have a baby coming in about a month, and then turning around and say'n there is nothing the state can do to help. So in a nice way they say we don't care if you and your wife have a place to live before and after the baby is born.(anyone with a question, my wife makes too much $ for welfare, but not over the 20,000. range) FU to the Job Pages, and head hunters -- you all are a waste of time. You say there are jobs, run adds and when you finally go to the office to sign up -- there is no work. FU to HR Departments -- after someone interviews you should at least have the mind to call them or mail them a letter telling them, sorry the job is not yours. Just venting here, No need to worry about my wife or my safety, I have some family that I will crawl to and ask for some help till I get back on my feet. Just my worrying side needing to get this out of my system before I go crazier :) if need E-Mail Me I have always been on the outside looking in and I have always prevailed. I will wage a war that will leave men broken and battered. Many perceive me as having no hope my victory will be an upset. But hope and perception have never ruled my life. Try and just deliver some pizza or bartend, you'll make cash off the books, and it will help with expenses while you get a solid full-time job. With the baby coming, you should at least have some income until you can find a job in your desired field. I'm still saved.... I am starting my very own group to combat the evil of this board. It might be a little Nietchze-esque, but whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Now you've said that you have relatives who might be able to help you out financially, what about having them get the word out that you're looking for a job? Jobs aren't as easy to find as they were two years ago obviously, but you'd be amazed at what some good old fashioned "networking" can get you. What kind of line of work are you in? I'm never too busy at work to talk to a friend so don't worry about that. Temping may be a good solution. You may not get benefits, but it sounds like you're out of options right now anyhow. Temping pays pretty well, and in fact, I started temping at the company I'm at now and got hired full time after 2 weeks on the job. Consulting is also an option-- my friend surprisingly just got a job designing web pages...I'll ask him for the link to the site he got it off of...though I know it sucks to settle for something that you know you're too good for...
