| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Civilian deaths will be the the thread that unravels the support for this war. The enemy will make a point of highlighting it. Nobody desrves to die, but war brings with it, the unfortunate casualties. Americans cannot let these mistakes bother them. 5000+ were brought to their deaths in a blink of the eye. The miltary will do whatever they can to minimize these mistakes, but they will happen. The effort to minimize civilian deaths and the position of appologizing for them I believe is a mistake that will expose us to some failures. The enemy here will put civilians intentionally in harms way to make us look bad. We need to suck it up as a nation and accept this as part of war. We killed civilians in Vietnam. The nation was outraged. But many of these civilians would kill US troops without thinking twice. That is fact, not propoganda as many believed. Who want's to play Afghan Bingo?
