I just had to do thise after saturday nights heavyweight bout between, Lennox Lewis and hasim Rahman.

Now to those who don't care or know lewis lost the titles of undisputed champ to rahman april earlier this year. Lewis was knocked out in the 5th round in africa by rahman. We fast forward 7 months and in the rematch lewis not only dominates Rahman but almost takes his head off in the 4th round, knocking out rahman and regaining the belts.

Now this FU could be directed to the 'alphabet organizations' with all their belts, and partially it is.

Look at this amazing fact, there was a highly publicized middleweight tournament to unify the belts. Which concluded with Bernard Hopkins destroying Felix trinidad to become the undisputed middleweight champ. But now the commision has made Hopkins a "super-champ" so that means he is recognized as the undisputed "super-champ" but now they can redistribute all 4 belts the ibf, wbc, wba, and ibo belts that Hopkins won.

Case in point one of the 4 participants in the tournemant was William joppy, he was the wba champion and he faced Trinidad who KO'ed joppy for the wba belt. So Joppy's last fight was a loss to trinidad in which he lost the wba belt, fast forward his next fight he is fighting for thw wba belt but not against hopkins or trinidad but against an unkown foreigner and William Joppy once again is the WBA champ, make much sense? didn't think so.

Hopkins went before a court to prevent this and he was turned away. Hopkins was a commentator last saturday and said "You are seeing a middleweight title fight, but no matter what, everyone knows who the real champ is. Hopkins also called out everyone from mosley and delahoya all the way up to roy jones, something hopkins has always done but until now no one took him seriously. Hopkins went as far as to say he will fly to germany and fight Darius Michaelscwieski whom is the only undefeated Light Heavyweight whom roy jones has refused to fight. Darius is 43-0 with 40 knokouts yet jones refuses to fight him. Hopkins said he will gladly go fight him and said that he is understanding and would even move down in weight especially to fight Shane mosley at 154. No one in recent memory has done this and kudos to hopkins.

So Cheers to hopkins and fuck you to bxing commisions and to in contrast heaveyweights today. The Heavyweight title has changed hands so many times it seems like it's WWF scripted. Look at how many people have handled the titles inrecent years.

Botha, moorer, akinwande, mcall, lewis, bruno, seldon, tyson, holyfield, lewis, ruiz, rahman, lewis again, holy again, tyson again, and all this in the last 5 years.

Rahman was right in saying that anyone of them can get KO'ed at anytime and no 'true' champs exist cause no one takes it serious enough for more than one big money fight.

Whatever happened to people like ali and mariciano? Ali always said "if you have a 15 round fight, that's 45 minutes means you train 45,000 minutes. You train 1,000 minutes for every minute in the ring. You spard 1,500 rounds, your run till it hurts and burns and you feel you can't run no more and then you run another 10 miles. These guys need to shape up, you are champ of the world, that's the whole world man.

Couldn't agree with you more GS, way too many boxing sactions and also too many weight divisions. Like 4 lbs matters between 2 people, put'em in the fucking ring and let them fight.

The political bullshit that these so-called boxing federations pull has made me become less interseted in the sport.

Sorry GS but Hopkins is in for the beating of his life if he fights Roy Jones jr. Just becaues he makes the challange doesn't mean he wants the fight. But I'll pay to see that one if it happens.

I will have to disagree with you.

While Roy Jones Jr. is probably the most gifted boxer and probably most natural athelete in the world. When he fought Hopkins back in 94, Jones barely and I do mean barely beat Hopkins by decision. This is a better Hopkins now though surprisingly stronger, wiser albeit older. But this is also an older roy jones who has wisked his way through almost every fight he has had in the last 4 years since demolishing the only man to beat him. Ofcourse we have never really seen jones hurt let alone dominated for more than 3 seconds, this is a man who went several years without losing a single round let alone fight. Jones has also never been hit cleanly barring his blow out of james toney and hopkins fight he has never been pushed to the limit. Maybe he is just that damn good who knows but jones needs that defining fight. So far jones' defining fight has been James Toney but he needs one more atleast and Trinidad was gonna be the one, but now looks like Hopkins vs. Jones II will be it and if Hopkins wins it sets up the rubber match, what are my odds well ofcourse I favor jones but at 2-1 odds. Before hopkins blow out of Trinidad it woulda been 7-1.
