 | I was drinking heavily at a party and my ramblings (me, ramble?) led to the topic of how I do not cook very well, culminating with me explaining that I put the spice paprika on everything.
How could this lead to a girl storming out of a room? Wait, I'l tell you (as quickly as I can):
I did not know that paprika is a spice from Hungary, much less that my thin-skinned conversation partner (or opponent) was from Hungary as well, and when she claimed paprika for herself (she really did this), I felt the only way for me to issue a rebuttal was to stand up and announce to a houseful of people what she had just said to me. I yelled at the top of my lungs, "(Dumbcunt) has claimed paprika!"
I then sat down, satisfied with my subatomic solution when she stormed out, only to make several passes later, swinging her hair over her shoulder and looking at the ground like Monica Lewinsky amid a crush of photographers.
Something made me think of Eric Roberts in "Pope of Greenwich Village," when he's telling Mickey Rourke how to slap a woman around, finishing with something like, "...so when she walks out, she stares at the fucking floor."
Anyway, despite the enjoyment I had retelling the story to everyone at the party, I never got to scream at her "FUCK YOU, DUMBCUNT! GET OVER YOUR FUCKING SELF! LIFE SUCKS--GET A FUCKING HELMET!"
So I did it here.
