| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01  | I want to give a huge FU to my oral surgeon who took out my wisdom teeth a week ago. I went to get my stiches out yesterday, and now my jaw is practically locked shut. I can't eat, and I can barely open my mouth enough to drink from a cup...oh and did I mention that I can't talk? Yep....wonderful way to start my day. Now I can't go into work until I get in touch with him to find out what the hell is wrong with me. :( My new daddy told me to run away, and my old daddy won't be my daddy until the DNA test results come back...someone please adopt me :) | ||||

I faxed a letter to my doctor and I am going there later, so hopefully he can open my jaw. :) Fyfe...what kind of excersizes are you speaking of? | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Even though it was a similar condition, your mouth/jaw reacted differently this time. Last time I had a impacted wisdom tooth removed, it took 2 weeks before I could open my mouth wide enough for real food. It sucked having to cut everything into tiny pieces so I could eat. And this two week of no food thing will help me fit into my new bathing suit :) Yahoo. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I actually was given a presciption pain-killer, can't recall what it was, but then that whole period became a blur. Your oral surgeon should be able to prescibe you something if the Advils aren't working. I recall receiving an antibiotic too Sig Pic Under Construction | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Dec. 00 | DO NOT APPLY HEAT. IT WILL MAKE IT WORSE!!! You should be using ice. You want to reduce swelling, and numb the pain. Heat will aggravate it.  "Let's play old time hockey!!" Props to HummerLovin for the inspiration!! | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | My wonderful doctor who says..."Wow I don't know how this happened" said to apply 15 minutes of heat and then 15 minutes of ice....neither of which is helping. I am so hungry its not funny...I would think at the very least he would give me a muscle relaxer....oh well.
