| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Awwwwww, boys I will give you this piece of advice, Q i went through the same depression because my best friend went away to school. If you guys have such a strong friendship that you talk about, you will be friends forever, going away to college is just a test. Granted you will make new friends in school and blah blah blah, but its great to have those friends from hs that you can share those great memories with. Don't let it get you down, just enjoy this summer together to the fullest and you should be fine. | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jan. 01 | I think he meant for MXO to not read this... Hey Q, I have a best friend that now lives in Virginia. He used to live up here, and we would do everything together. (Well almost everything, we're not geeey) When he moved away, it was hard to lose that person that you could pick up the phone and talk to about things and just have them know what you were feeling. Here's what I found. Once he was gone, and we would talk on the phone, it was almost as though he never left. What I mean is that we were able to just go on like the other person was still there. Even if we didn't talk for several weeks. I'm not saying this is going to be how it is for you guys, but you need to make the best of it. Eff your mom for telling you to go make new friends. If you're happy with the one you've got, keep em. You'll find some new people to hang out with, but you may never find another friend that will be that close. | ||||
