| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | Ok, Kid A is banned again, no surprise there, he's been asking for it for a long time. However, what I do have issue is by who, and why it was done in the Gen Discussion thread. Opak, I will say this bluntly, though I support the banning, I do not support your hair trigger, or the fact you should be the last one who banned him since you are the one who has had the least interaction. Quite frankly, he didn't deserve the banning in that thread in particular, and it looks more like a show of power, rather than an objective mod decision. That's my take. I still love ya, but I will let my thoughts be known.  Here's a tip that will save you alot of grief and time... Don't believe in and depend on anyone but yourself. | ||||

I differ with his opinions as much as anyone, more so than most. But I have never and will never stand for bannings based on differing views like this. I'm sorry, but I'm over-riding you on this one. So if mine still counts, opak was wrong in that thread for pretty much saying no ones opinions count, and for banning afrika like that. But truthfully just fight back, nail him when he nails you. Do you really want a fuckin camp nicey nice here? Banning should be reserved for people who have already been banned but join up, for spammers i.e of websites and howard fanatics, and people who disrupt threads for the sole purpose to fuck with the board cause they hate it. So in that sense yes afrika should be banned if he was a newbie. But I say keep him around and when he gets out of line put the fucker back in his place.  I'm Deep Inside Your Children. I personally like the posting style of kid before Gonzo did not shake his hand. ;) Attacking people occasionally but being a total wise ass all the time. Now it’s attacking the thread and people all the time and being a wise ass occasionally. I as far as banning we need to be cleaner cut on banning. Break board rules 3 strikes and you are out, not moderating by emotion. I was also not pleased to learn that Kid got his first strike because he pissed you off in one of the old Mendi threads. If that is true, then I'm going to go so far as to take one of his strikes away. And after your long hiatus, you are the last person who should be complaining about him riding you. I understand your stance I went the same route a few weeks ago... but after a bit of harassment from a pair of friends, I realized i was over the line.. I wholeheartedly agree Kid's attitude is an outright assault on the management of this board, however.. if he's banned for simply disagreeing with one of us.. we practicly martyr him, and we give him exactly what he wants.. I'm fairly positive at this point that Kid wants to goad one of us into banning him for personal reasons.. and if we do that.. he wins.. I ALSO know from IM convo's with Kid himself that he believes he's untouchable.. he outright told me that if I banned him he'ld be unbanned within a week. Obviously trying to goad me into doing so (this was a few months ago when I banned him for a week to get him to calm down).. I was actually going to reply to Gonzo's earlier thread about Grk that everybody has something that just pushes their buttons.. it just seems that Kid enjoys pushing Mod buttons.. the point I'm trying to make is that it doesn't matter to him if he gets banned... what he wants I think is to make the mods look bad by getting them to ban him for personal reasons.. so it's doubly important to make sure IF you ban him you have a legit reason..
