Unfortunatley I won't be able to throw together a "Bits of Junk volume 2" cd set for this one.. they've got me tracking CD usage at work now..

However.. i thought of something that you guys might be able to baloon into a full fledged contest...

Fill a bunch of X-mas stocking with disgusting stuff ala 55 gallon drum chalenge.. put soem sort of prize marker in a few of them.. anyone who's willing to try can reach into one stockings (only one) and try to locate a prize marker.. which of course could be exchanged for whatever..
the disgusting stuff may be hard to get though.. but it's an idea

No I live in Brooklyn we don't have roaches here, lol.

Too bad corpse isn't around we could borrow a tape from him and wait for the roach eggs inside to hatch.

But all joking aside it's a good idea magoo, with some work this could be great.

No sweat Magu... I'm already working on making up a CD full of O&A bits, some Brother Joe stuff, a couple of Lynch songs...etc...

How about a positive LSD story, that would be newsworthy. Don't you think? Anybody think that? Just once, to hear a positive LSD story. Well joey and I spoke and we will take up that offer to co-host.

As joey said we will be Laurel and Hardy.

This is another fine mess you've gotten me into.

We will pan things out together this week and plan shit out and will talk with matt when we get and idea of what we are doing.

All we need from matt is what the prizes we will have to work with, and we will handle the rest and since we aren't ona time limit like at tierneys we will have enough time.

I would say we start the prize give away around 1:00am, cause to get these people to play we will need them good and drunk.

I will speak to our prize guy tonight. What we'll probably do is instead of trying to squeeze in the contest & stuff at the end of the night, we'll do them throughout the night, in between sets, and what not so we get them all in and break things up.

Well I figure all in all it should take 30 mins, we don't need any elaborate set-ups. I would rather we just slam through em all at once and if we start at 1:am we'll have plenty of time, the place won't close till atleast 3 or 4. Plus i doubt joe will wanna play alllll night, and people will wanna converse and talk as well, if anything has been learned these people create their own entertaiment when needed. So we don't need a constance of someone on stage at all times.

But it's just my opinion for consideration.

I swear... that was my first thought when the idea of you two co-hosting came up...

I kinda agree with Froy, that the games shouldn't be all at once... but at the same time, I don't think stretching them out all night will work either... Maybe if Joey & Gonzo did like 2 or 3 quick giveaways in between sets we'd be fine...

Look at us doing sets... I can bet we are funnier then Vos.
It think it would work better if we do the contest between the set breaks.

You know, you can combine the donut eating and deepthroating contests. For Bachelorette parties, I've seen the "who can eat the dick~cake (or banana) fastest" contest.

You put the funny in unfunny that night! ;)
I must say that at the Anniv. Party I didn't even know you were doing any games. Then once I found out, they were all over by the time I got around the bar. And Joe will play all night. As long as he doesn't run out of Jack (Daniels, that is) shots. Anthony and I won't be there til 10 or so, but if there's anything I can do to help out, lemme know.

You and ant got there afterwards so you missed it.

Plus I know brothe rJOe can play all night, but not to sound offensive at all only in suggestion. We've seen the brother joe gigs and heard the songs we love him don't get me wrong. BUt people come to these things to see people they don't normally see and converse with people in the flesh rather than behind a computer screen and they wanna mingle and talk, so I would think in my experience from all the parties I been to off the board it isn't a neccesity for Joe to play all night. Especially since he will be starting his gigs at Bar 9 again after the holidays, plus you don't wanna turn the members off by asking them to come and pay 20 bucks to come to bar 9 for what would seem on paper to be a bro. joe gig. Once again I don't want it to be taken that I am picking an argument but as per request I am voicing my opinion. I think I earned that right.

I mean, if I wanted to hear some god-awful cover tunes, well I'd just pop in my Tori Amos cd ;)

I think it all started with the Declaration of Independence -- the idea that we had the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That pursuit is what took America from the revolution to the computer age in 200 years. But the progress has come at a price. The obvious being the people that were exploited to make it possible; the not so obvious being us, the first group of people that were given no obvious frontiers to conquer. We hear stories that about the good old days that don't seem to apply anymore. It's a generation gap that leaves us without role models. But the bright side is that without role models, there are no roles. Maybe that's what the 60s were all about -- getting rid of the roles. But what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, the choices become overwhelming. Sometimes it just makes everything feel hopeless. So we destroy our bodies in the search of an ideal. Try to salvage relationships that don't work. We feel we must do something, instead of doing something that we feel. It is the prison of self-imposed momentum, and the sad part is that we get used to it. It reminds me of a song I heard the other day. It's called "The Going Nowhere Fast." But the people I have met here have shown me another side of Nowhere. They've pointed out the beautiful irony that stagnation makes it easy to stop and smell the roses, if we just let it. What would we be if we had nothing to rebel against? Well we could finally be ourselves, the first group of people who stopped looking for the answers long enough to appreciate the questions. And all we have to do is to make our own Declaration of Independence. We can embrace the right to life and liberty by simply realizing that happiness exists -- not to pursue, but to accept. After that the only challenge would be to make sure with the rest of our lives that we weren't just another fad. I don't know, it's an idea. What do you think?

Here's a thought:

OpieAnthony.com Secret Santa, between members that are going to Dec. 15th party. Could be quite interesting pairing people up to give gifts to on another for that day. Especially, with this board's warped sense of humor. But key is we organize it so nobody's left out, as long as they check in the secret Santa thread.

Well, that's my thought of the day, now back to being hungover. =)

I love it. That could be hilarious. I'll make a post about it in that thread and start a new one. We just have to make sure that only people who are 100% definites participate.

So joey if you can give me a ring this thursday so we can finally get all this straightened out and i dunno if matt gave you the prize list or not, but either way lets get it all straight on what we are going to do. Plus whatever props we need and who will be able to get them.

I haven't gotten any list of our prizes. In fact, I haven't seen him online at all. He hasn't gotten back to me. Worse comes to worse, we'll just take down the names & addresses of the winners, and I'll go out the Monday after the party and pick some stuff up for them.

Allright Matt no biggie, if anything we'll do 3-4 contests then. I got joey's message yesterday I was working till 10 and didn't get home till 11:30 we were doing inventory all night. I'll call joey tonight, but here's a fun contest since I don't think we or I personally wanna spend money on a bunch of shit for the contests like last time. The Magoo idea is great and we don't tell people what is inside till they get on stage and Joey and i just clue them in as they are going through the sock, I got a game plan for that one. I figure we need the obligatory boob contest and Joey works the massive pimp hand with a little help from me and maybe we get a little more out of them.

I have a few other ideas I will discuss with Laurel, but here is one to ponder which i think is amusing.

Picture it the largest arms in the world, the baddest man on the planet, our very own joey big arms. Arm wrestling contest, I just dunno if we do it haha funny and have a girl arm wrestle him or have a guy. Nor do I really have an idea how to pick the person. But the best part is we do not need a fancy prize for it, we can do it for something like a status, or they get to gve joey a status for a week or some small prize like a 20 dollar gift certificate. But what do you guys think? I'll discuss it with JBA if he wants to do it but what are your thoughts?

Sounds good. Don't go nuts spending cash on the contests, I didn't want you to do that last time. If you guys need a few things, let me know and I'll run out and pick them up Saturday morning. And if our prizes don't come through by then, I'll just get people gift certificates they can use online or something.

Yeah your best bet is just to go for gift certificates this way people can pick what they want and you don't have to go nuts trying to figure out what to get. So we will do 3-4 contests then however you want them done, in between sets or all at once. just joey and I need to talk a few things over and we are set. Sounds like it will be a good time for everyone.

I like the Gift Certificates idea too... but just to let everybody know... I've made 30 CD's (2 Volumes, 15 CD's each) of O&A worst of and a handful (3 or 4) of "I LYVE the FROY" T-Shirts that you can use for giveaways...either to runner-up's or a consilation prizes...whatever...

Ok George just called me to find out how many contest we are doing, what are they and what prizes we need. So Gonzo get in touch with me tonight, I am getting off work at 7:30 and going to bed about 12:00. My cell is 201-446-8047 just incase you did not have it handy.

I got no problem with that contest. I guess I deserve that by picking a user name Joey BigArms.
My only thought is that 99% of the board would win so my status will be changed weekly for the next two years.
