I think it all started with the Declaration of Independence -- the idea that we had the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That pursuit is what took America from the revolution to the computer age in 200 years. But the progress has come at a price. The obvious being the people that were exploited to make it possible; the not so obvious being us, the first group of people that were given no obvious frontiers to conquer. We hear stories that about the good old days that don't seem to apply anymore. It's a generation gap that leaves us without role models. But the bright side is that without role models, there are no roles. Maybe that's what the 60s were all about -- getting rid of the roles. But what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, the choices become overwhelming. Sometimes it just makes everything feel hopeless. So we destroy our bodies in the search of an ideal. Try to salvage relationships that don't work. We feel we must do something, instead of doing something that we feel. It is the prison of self-imposed momentum, and the sad part is that we get used to it. It reminds me of a song I heard the other day. It's called "The Going Nowhere Fast." But the people I have met here have shown me another side of Nowhere. They've pointed out the beautiful irony that stagnation makes it easy to stop and smell the roses, if we just let it. What would we be if we had nothing to rebel against? Well we could finally be ourselves, the first group of people who stopped looking for the answers long enough to appreciate the questions. And all we have to do is to make our own Declaration of Independence. We can embrace the right to life and liberty by simply realizing that happiness exists -- not to pursue, but to accept. After that the only challenge would be to make sure with the rest of our lives that we weren't just another fad. I don't know, it's an idea. What do you think?

Oh, Teh Irony. LOL

Nothing to do with mods.

This is pretty much it -

If I want to read spelling errors and botched sentences galore, I can just go to the ign wanna-be site myself. I don't need to constantly see that in a syndication box for said site.

I never read the syndication box, but many many times when I scroll past it I see glaring mistakes. I have seen 20 plus spelling errors, and several botched sentences. I have held back on saying anything for so long, but now we have two IDENTICAL paragraphs PLUS a picture linked to the Scorpion King article/review.

AGAIN --

Why Wrestlers Shouldn't Act
Before the Rock prepares his Academy Award acceptance speech, he should remember the sad history of wrestling-actors

PLUS

Not only that, but -

quote:

Alcohol & the Thoughts in Your Head
Should you really say and do the things that come into your drunkne mind?

If the syndication box is a MUST can the brief descriptions at least be proofread?

OK, now you are just toying with me, aren't ya? See: yellow.

Originally it was the fact that you forgot to proofread your original sentence. Hell you rewrote it and still missed it.

You missed the word "in" in "And you think this is only a valuable lesson for us BTS for what reason exactly???"

It should have been written as:

And you think this is only a valuable lesson for us in BTS for what reason exactly???

No, I meant it as written. A valuable lesson for us behind the scenes. We are in behind the scenes, we are the only ones in behind the scenes and we are the only ones that can be in behind the scenes.

Therefore, stating in behind the scenes is a redundant qualifier.

If I were speaking to Alkey, I would say when he was in behind the scenes because he's only sometimes a moderator.

And yes, the lesson was intentional. :-p

Redundant qualifier or not, I don't care how many times you read/say that sentence, something is wrong. As a whole, it just doesn't look/sound correct.

Just the acronym "...BTS..." is worse than "...Behind The Scenes..." Maybe we should just chalk it up to a botched sentence as a whole, eh?

Maybe if there was a redundant proofreader for the syndication box there wouldn't be mistakes in the box to qualify as a glaring eyesores...

When you click on lets say GD and use the scroll wheel on the mouse you have to scroll twice even before OA.com moves. Can we fix this?

Yeah - don't hover your mouse over the OTL box when you scroll.

But I do agree that the OTL box shouldn't scroll. From an OA standpoint, it's annoying, and from an OTL point of view, all the stuff for people to see should be RIGHT THERE to see, not to scroll through.

I thought the same thing Joey. I have to put my cursor off to the side of that box in order to scroll the actual OA.com page.

Don't make me angry.
You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.
