All in all this shouldn't be a "I've lost any respect" issue, because quite frankly that's just babyish.

Slow down there Magus did you just call me babyish and tell me to go back to kindergarden? I truly hope you are kidding.

Maybe its just me, I tried to treat you guys back here with respect but why the fuck should I anymore?

Jesus christ some people need to learn to take a fucking joke.

But according to Slash it was not a joke.

It is interesting to know that respect is something you so easily relinquish.

It’s really sad.

Wait, slash does something to make you upset and the rest of us don't deserve respect? I'm sorry joey, but what the fuck kind of logic is that? By that token, because slash did what he did, none of you can fuck my sister. Take that.

Yes Joey, as a matter of fact, that's EXACTLY what I'm saying.
Stop and look at it for a minute, seriously.
You're sitting here, complaining, venting, and carrying on, because someone WHO NEVER SHOWS UP, didn't show up.
Just take a deep breath, and look at that last sentence, because that is PRECISELY what you're doing here, and if you honestly can't realize how truly childish and immature that is, maybe you need to take your scategories and go play with someone else.
I could honestly sympathize with you if Slash had made some special point about him being there, or that he was setting this up because he wanted to meet everyone, but merely organizing it isn't making such a point. Where I come from, if someone doesn't actually state something, you can hope for it all you want, but you don't rely or plan on it. I'm sorry Joey, but you merely assumed Slash would be there, and you can't hold him responsible for your bad assumptions.
Granted, Slash should probably calm down about this a little bit too, but when people start yelling at you for not doing something that you never said you'd do in the first place, I think you're entitled to be a little defensive.

Since nobody really understands my point and Slash feels he is justified which his opinion on the subject, I am dropping this whole fucking matter. And honestly no good can come of this thread anyway.

I guess nobody understands my point back here. But I will leave this discuss with this hypothetical situation:

A person calls you on your cell phone, tells you about a party he is arranging. Keeps calling you and asks when a good time is for you. Then calls you back to tell you the final arrangements and does not show up. Would you be pissed at him the next time he calls you?

I guess my friends and me live by a different code then some people back here.

I agree with Joey, this is pointless.

I'll say it again, Slash, you got me. That's two, TWO times now. I still think you win the perversity award.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not fighting to uphold the restraints that give protection to rights fully accrued upon facts so nearly permanent as to be substantially impervious to change, rather I am for the supervision of changing conduct or conditions and are thus provisional or tentative.

you left out the part in the hypothetical question where its a friend that has never shown up to said parties before. so would it really be such a shocker that he has never showed up?

you guys are right, this whole thing is pointless...its just a damn shame it took you guys days to relize this.

Write To Me Here

I think it all started with the Declaration of Independence -- the idea that we had the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That pursuit is what took America from the revolution to the computer age in 200 years. But the progress has come at a price. The obvious being the people that were exploited to make it possible; the not so obvious being us, the first group of people that were given no obvious frontiers to conquer. We hear stories about the good old days that don't seem to apply anymore. It's a generation gap that leaves us without role models. But the bright side is that without role models, there are no roles. Maybe that's what the 60s were all about -- getting rid of the roles. But what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, the choices become overwhelming. Sometimes it just makes everything feel hopeless. So we destroy our bodies in the search of an ideal. Try to salvage relationships that don't work. We feel we must do something, instead of doing something that we feel. It is the prison of self-imposed momentum, and the sad part is that we get used to it. It reminds me of a song I heard the other day. It's called "The Going Nowhere Fast." But the people I have met here have shown me another side of Nowhere. They've pointed out the beautiful irony that stagnation makes it easy to stop and smell the roses, if we just let it. What would we be if we had nothing to rebel against? Well we could finally be ourselves, the first group of people who stopped looking for the answers long enough to appreciate the questions. And all we have to do is to make our own Declaration of Independence. We can embrace the right to life and liberty by simply realizing that happiness exists -- not to pursue, but to accept. After that the only challenge would be to make sure with the rest of our lives that we weren't just another fad. I don't know, it's an idea. What do you think?
