There will always be guns and various weapons made to kill, and there will always be ass-holes who want to use them to kill their fellow man. What does it matter if there are no more guns? These fucked up sick sons of bitches will still want to kill their enemys, by any means necessary, instead of solving their problem peacefully. It is a matter of teaching a respect for life to ALL our children. | ||||

If it's not a gun shot to the head, it's a knife stab to the chest, or a hit & run, or a home-made bomb. I know it sucks but it's the truth. It's a sad sad sad sad world. All we can do is teach our children right from wrong and hope the wrong doesn't effect them to harshly. | ||||

I'm in school now and whenever someone's being a dick I get revenge. You could for example send a cough computer virus cough to them. Of course you shouldnt send one that proliferates itself. | Hanger-On Registered: Oct. 00 | I know this is a tasteless attempt at humor... But being that the shooting took place outside of San Diego, do you think the suspect was just pissed off that the Chargers went 1-15 last year, I'd go nuts too. Seriously what happened today was indeed a tragedy, and yet another continuation of a frightening trend. But can you automatically blame the suspects in these school shooting without wondering what was the cause, the negative factors that lead to this breakdown. Although I do believe that what he commited was cowardly and inhumane, but he was probably the product of an abusive social situation, family life, or just absent of any real attention toward his needs and problems. I was an outcast in my highschool, but I found better ways of dealing with the problems I faced everyday, I realized that high school was only four years of a whole life that waits ahead of you. Many of the kids who I had anger toward in high school, have matured and are now my friends, while others are stuck in their same stupid childish state, which makes them look stupid and incredulous in the real world. What I'm saying is that before we quickly call this suspect a savage asshole, we have to examine the background and faults in his growing up process, anyone could turn into that with a lack of family, social, or psychological support. | ||||

However, I am not the one trying to blame the object for the action. In typical heartless liberal fashion, you try to make an argument that seems to come from the heart. Make excuses for the asshole, with an ILLEGAL WEAPON! In the past I have been held up with a knife at my throat. This doesn't empassion me to take weapons away. My baseball bat story is true. We as a society will never live on a level playing field. When you take away guns, as in the UK, there may be a lower than average incidence of gun violence, however how many more bombs go off there, like a couple days ago when the windows were blown out at a BBS building. Believe it or not, your and your liberal buds attitude towards guns actually makes misuse more likely. Rather than learning to value and protect human life, the kids pick up the messege they can get power buy wielding a gun. Just stop trying to use the excuse I don't have a heart because I am in favor of, and am a legal gun owner. Okay, screw this. I'm off the soapbox. Have a nice night gang. God damn kids today...and I am only 22. that shit would have never happened when I was in High school. I hope the kid gets the death penalty. And, I usually don't agree w/ the death penatly, i sway back and forth w/ the notion but cases like this reinforce my belief in it!!!We are really the only western democratic country that has the death penalty...but we also have the most fucked up crimes.
