| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | August 29, 2001 -- A 16-year-old Brooklyn high-school student and her mother yesterday sued the Board of Education for $6 million, claiming the girl's face was burned with acid during a lab class early this year due to the school's negligence. Mary Soto and her mother, Ann, say in the suit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court that school officials should have given Mary goggles before allowing her to perform an experiment last May at Sheepshead Bay HS. When Mary reached for a flask filled with the acid, the suit says, the top of the container opened and the caustic liquid splashed on her face. She went to a sink to wash away the acid, but there was no running water, according to her lawyer, Bruce Barone. "She had some facial damage. She had some respiratory problems," Barone said. "I think there should be either goggles given or, more important, a protective shield that covers the entire face." | ||||

I worked in a chem lab in high school, and the lids on a container doesn't jus fall off, she probably left i off and dropped it cause she is a stupid spic bitch, (b4 you put me in he barrel, i am hispanic). furthermore 6 million dollars isn' going to replace her fuckin' face. She should have been more careful and the Board of Ed can't be held responsible for the fact that the acid splashed. BUT fucking Sheepshead Bay HS should have had running water. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | lol wow this reminds me of when I took chem in 10th grade and my teacher would put "disruptive lab behavior" in my report card. lol damn did i have fun in that class. This girl sounds like she brought it on herself, reminds me of the girl i went to school with in elementary school that was chewing on the top of a permanent marker and it burst in her mouth. Her mom tried to sue the school for not "supervising" the child. Give me a break, your daughter was the tool that thought knawing on a marker was smart!
