Contact your local hospitals. The Armory on 23rd street in manhattan, St Lukes Hospital near harlem have drives going. They desperately need O+ and O- negative blood. If you can donate, take the time and do so. Protein bars, bottled water, workmen gloves, juice, blankets are being collected at the Jersey City Marina. The relief workers are working tirelessly. Carmel Church and Parish Hall. that is on i believe either 22nd or 23rd street between Broadway and Ave. E. Central NJ Blood Center - Shrewsbury, NJ. I beleive the address is 488 Sycamore Ave. 310 East 67th Street (between 1st and 2nd Avenues) 150 Amsterdam Avenue (66-67th Streets); in Brooklyn at 120 Lawrence Street near MetroTech; Staten Island at 1625 Forest Avenue; Long Island at 2500 Marcus Avenue in Lake Success, 3125 Veterans Highway in Bohemia; 333 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre and Route 110N in Melville/Huntington; Jersey 167 New Street in New Brunswick, New Jersey; 525 Executive Blvd. in Elmsford in Westchester. | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | I strongly recommend that everyone volunteer, in addition to giving blood. Everyone here can go to either: Chelsea Piers Command Post (out of chelsea piers gym): West 18th Street (right off of the West Side Hwy)_ You can't drive straight down there- you'll have to turn onto 11th ave and then walk down-if you're coming from joe dimaggio pkwy(WSHwy above 72nd st) The Salvation Army- 14th st btwn 6th and 7th ave. The Armory on 26th street. (i'm not sure of the ave but i THINK it's on Lexington) most of the volunteering command posts are 24 HR. I just showed up at Chelsea at 3AM and they signed me right up! you also have command posts at the Javitz and the red cross of course has several locations they operate out of! I wish I had some medical specialty or was law enforcement then I could work in Ground Zero territory and REALLY help out!  quote: | ||||

Though terrorists may have struck out at us as Americans, let us come together and show our unity. Let us show that though our arm may have been hurt, they cannot dim the heart of America which burns brightly. On Thursday, September 13, 2001, at 10:30 PM ET, walk our your door and light a candle or lantern to show the world that our spirit burns bright. Gather with loved ones or gather with neighbors but let our light burn in the night to show that we are united and that we remain strong. Please pass this on to any one you know..print it up and pass it to neighbors who may not have Internet access, post it to message boards, clubs, news stations, anywhere and everywhere there is a PROUD American!!!!!!!!!! | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | just heard on Channel 7 that that ny.com website that has the list of survivors, has quite a few errors. The FBI is saying not to go by that list, they just showed some guy looking for his son, the son's name was on the list, but the son wasnt where they said. His son is still missing.
