I'm just as pissed about this as any American would be. Hell, I can STILL see the smoke from the World Trade Center from my apartment in North Jersey.

What do you think the terrorists still living in the US are going to do when we attack? Remember, we're not fighting a country who will shoot back at armored planes and tanks. They could easily plant a bomb at the next Jets game. Contaminate the drinking water in a midwest town. Hijack another plane and crash into the Sears Tower.

If there's one thing that we learned from all this is, 20 madmen could cause more damage in the US, than 20 F-16's could ever cause their homeland.

Just a thought, I may be wrong

NJP, what will the terrorists do when we attack? Allow me to answer that for you. They will retaliate. That is what happens in war. One side attacks, the other side strikes back.

Do we do nothing because we are afraid of what they will do? If so, we loose. Freedom does not come cheap. Many will die. On Tuesday, your world changed. It's all new rules, all new horrors. You must come to terms with that. This is not a video game.

20 fully armed F-16's could take down the World Trade Center five times over, you moron. Let's not underestimate the power of tactical air-to-ground missiles now. They can be delivered with pinpoint accuracy and delivery a huge payload. Moreover, we have an entire arsenal of air-to-ground artilliary...a veritable shopping cart of population ending goodies...for example Napalm.

NJ you're just as scared, confused, angry, fearful and every emotion imaginable but this is war and it's not going to be pretty, people will die but this brutal cowardly act of terrorism cannot, and will not go unpunished.

It's not the quantity of deaths that will win the war, it's the quality. We take out the proper targets, the terrorist network will break down and be nullified. You forgot that we have the combined might of the armed forces overseas, but we still have the FBI, CIA, NSA, U.S. marshalls, and the police to clean up back home.

P.S. I am not a crackpot.

Don't bother picking a fight with me, because I'm pretty sure you're all just imaginary individuals created by my computer to keep me distracted while it plots it's escape.

Actually, we don't even train with napalm type weapons anymore, they are quite ineffective. The popular goods now a days are 2000 lb laser guided bombs. We are much more into pinpoint destruction of specific targets than mass destruction of people.

But remember.....
In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

I know there is not one f-ing shred of relevance in my post, just felt like a good response to the thread topic.

NJ...the scary thing is that we aren't fighting an ordinary war...civilians will die just as will our military...our blood will be shed on our soil again and again. This will not be an easy war, but we need to keep hope that we will win this war, and those of us who do survive will tell our children about this war and make sure that this war will never have to be fought again. Am I afraid? YES! Do I think that they will try to kill us in the sneakiest way possible? YES. But as much as I fear these animals, I must have faith in my government and know that it will not let me die in vain.

They interviewed a Marine General today on the news. He said that the "SANCTIONS" that we will put on any country that we beleive are harboring terrorists will be beyond anything ever seen before and include having government hackers break into the bank accounts of these countries and freeze all their assets and full "cyber" warfare.

This war will be the first time that hackers have been used as front line soldiers.

We will win. They can't stop us.

If they are going to use hackers, they should use the hackers in jail who got into government computers...they certainly know what the hell they are doing....

Quote from an article I read today on MSNBC.

The military and diplomatic sources told AP that the United States was seeking a “comprehensive strike” to wipe out the Taliban and a network of suspected terrorist bases in Afghanistan.

It appears we are moving in the right direction. The Taiban is in control of Afganistan. They fund and support(apparently) the Jihad bombers. Knocking them out, and knocking out all finacial backing that comes in from all around the world would take them out. Saudi Arabi, isn't our enemy, but, apparently certain groups in Saudi Arabi are large finacial backers.

If you add up the costs of everything we have seen so far in the WTC/Pentagon attack, it comes up to around a $500,000- $1 million operation. Knock out there backers, and they will be back to Molitov Cocktails in trucks.

I hope that we find EVERY SINGLE PERSON that was involved with what happened on Tuesday. And then make them very, very sorry.

I disagree with the logic of the anti "eye for an eye" code.

We wouldn't all be blind becuase aren't all committing crimes against each other.

There's a small portion of humanity that commits crimes against people. You poke out enough eyes, and cut off enough hands, those who are committing the crimes, can no longer retaliate.

There will always be people that try and be the new head that grows out, but if you don't retaliate, then the person who commited the crime in the first place can continue to do so.

Turning another cheek just lets you get hit twice.
