I got this email from my friend who runs Monday Night Magic, magic shows at the Sullian Street Playhouse in the Village. If anyone needs a fun night out that will also help with the relief effort at ground zero you should definitely check it out. It's magic mixed with comedy and is a really great show.

To Monday Night Magic Patrons,

Last week, Monday Night magic cancelled its show out of respect for those
victimized by the tragedy at the World Trade Center. This week, we have
decided to do what we can to help, and we encourage you to do the same. We
strongly urge all of our friends to come out and be part of a
life-affirming night of magic and wonder on September 24th.

On this night we will have a special benefit performance of Monday Night
Magic with the evening's proceeds being donated to the families of the
Policemen, Firemen and EMS workers that have been lost in the World Trade
Center tragedy.

This show will feature an extended "All Star" line-up of some of your
favorite Monday Night Magic performers including:

* Frank Brents (He Will Amaze And Amuse You!)
* Michael Chaut (Magic With A Comic Touch)
* Bob Elliott (The Godfather of Long Island Magic)
* Alex Feldman (Alex the Jester - Guaranteed Belly Laughs )
* Simon Lovell (The Wild Man From England; Hilarious Magic)
* Carl Mercurio (Close-Up Magician Extraordinaire)
* David Oliver (Classic Doves, Exquisite Silent Manipulation)
* Todd Robbins (The Post Modern Master of The Side Show)
* Rocco (Magic Master & Sleight-of-Hand Champion) & Renee
* Will Shaw (Expert Juggling, Comedy & Wit)
* Belinda Sinclair (NYC's Top Female Magician)
* Jon Stetson (The One And Only, "Boston Charmer")
* Jamy Ian Swiss (World Class Artistic Sleight-of-Hand & Wizardry)
* Torkova (Classical Award Winning Magic At Its Best!)

All of the profits from this performance will be donated to the New York
Firefighters 9-11 Disaster Relief Fund and the WTC Police Disaster Relief
Fund. The performers have also agreed to contribute their fees for the
evening to these funds, and if anyone in the audience wishes to make their
own contributions, they will have the opportunity to do so on this evening.

We also plan on having an extended intermission featuring an expanded
roster of close-up magicians.

We hope you all will join us on this remarkable night. This will be an
unforgettable evening for a very special cause. To get tickets, simply
call Ticketmaster by Monday at 3 PM at 212-307-4100 or . . . for your

And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Gone, but not forgotten
