| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01  | As most people know, the Emmys broadcast was postponed to October in deference to the disaster of Sept 11th. My question is: Should they even bother to put it on? There is already a movement by several actors not to show up. Why not just announce the winners, and move on? Ikeaboy - comment? :)  | ||||

Yeah, the wrong shows usually win, but that is no different than the Grammys, etc. In a normal year it represents the start of the TV season. This year, it just seems to represent wrong priorities. I'm sure CBS has no desire to cancel; it tends to be a highly rated show. Speaking of Cancellations / postponements, If they move the Super Bowl one week back (as is currently discussed), it will conveniently fall during Feb sweeps. I know they've also said that it "wouldn't count", but it would definitely screw up the ratings book. | ||||
