This is what I do for a living and I thought I should share the wealth with my O&A brothers and sisters. I know as a single mom, sometimes I need to earn some extra cash. I found a great way to do it! Attending focus groups all over Manhattan. Big companies are willing to pay big bucks for your opinion. They need everyday people to tell them what they really think about certain products and services. Everything from Cable TV to Pepsi. The average focus group is held in Midtown, during the week, in the early evening (6:30 - 7) and last from 1 - 2 hours. They pay typically from $75 - $250 and more in CASH! Some groups are held in the 5 boroughs, during the day and on the weekends too! If you are interested in making extra money, GOOD money, go to www.focusfinders.com and register. Once you are in the database, you will be contacted about upcoimg focus groups that fit your profile. This is no joke! I have sent hundreds of people on jobs just this year averaging $125 each. | Hanger-On Registered: May. 01 | I've actaully done some of these in Jersey. I did one for beer. I had to bring 5 friends, we sat around and drank beer, and got paid $50 bucks each for it. | Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 01 | Hey guys..thanks for posting about focus groups. I don't work the Jersey groups but if you are able to get into Manhattan, then I could send you to groups there. Unfortunately I do not know of any other Focus research companies out side of NY. I also do not remember ever getting any groups about pot smoking, but here are some examples of groups I have had recently and how much they paid. All were in Midtown NY High speed printers HP or Cannon - $150 2 hours Parents who smoke - $50 for 30 minutes Wireless developers - $150 for 2 hours MSN or Hotmail users $75 for 2 hours Budweiser/concession stand beer purchasers - $75 for 1 hour HS science teachers - $100 (currently trying to fill this group!) so if you know any NY public school science teachers that teach environmental science, let me know! The list goes on and on....The most important thing is that you match the profile of the people they are looking for, and that you show up! I had 2 no-shows on the High Speed printer job just yesterday and I lose $$ and my boss gets real mad! If you are serious about going on groups..even if you work full time, please register at www.focusfinders.com.
